If Aldridge goes nuts, becomes an ultimate better shooting Duncan... averaging 26 and 14 in the playoffs then it is going to be a fun ride...

    Batum and Lillard tagging along

LMA will never be an ultimate TD because TD is one of the most dominant defensive PFs in the history of the NBA while LMA's D varies from average to horrible.

LMA's playing out of his mind right now, but there's a reason Tim Duncan is considered the GOAT PF.

All he has to do is make sure he peaks around April and May. Go real far.
He is probably going to be an even hotter commodity coming offseason.

See, posts like this are the reason why I can't take this forum seriously.

Aldridge is Chris Bosh, part II. He's nowhere close to Duncan's level as a defender.

If Pringles and the Suns could go to the WC finals, why can't they when they are at their best..... that is conditional though

It's not the GARM so you don't have to take things seriously

So you are saying the Duncan of today is an elite defender? Arguable
I would say he is still effective but Hibbert, Dwight Howard's level?

Who is the Steve Nash of the Blazers, though? Steve Nash is a 2x NBA MVP. It's certainly not Lillard, his passing isn't even on the same level of Steve Francis. Lillard plays more like a SG than a PG.

I can see the Amare and Aldridge comparisons though, but Amare could score more points at the rim than Aldridge can.

Defense is not an individual thing. It's about having a leader, team chemistry, solid coaching, and motivation.

Duncan is still the defensive anchor of the Spurs, through his leadership and his knowledge of the game. He may not have the same level of physical talent that he use to, though. But he's a smarter player than 99% of the league, AND he's more disciplined and works harder than 99% of the league.

To answer your question, Hibbert and Howard are both more valuable at this point due to the age difference. But, If I could take Duncan at the same age as these two clowns, I would do it in a heart beat.

We'll see. I did not think Grizzlies were top contenders either but they got to the 3rd round. Now they are inefficient and were even with Gasol.

I am starting to grow into a holiday mode so no more arguments other than I think given how good their form is the Blazers are able to go at least 2nd round.

Blazers might end up being in the top 4 for seeding at the end of the year. but a good question would be would you rather face the Blazers in the playoffs or Thunder

Blazers no question. I'm more convinced we can stop Portlands front court than stopping Durant and Westbrook.

Since when was Terry Stotts a good coach? Their success is an enigma.

I think Portland is definitely better than last year but they are playing over their heads at the current moment I believe. I don't think they will totally collapse like they did last year but the law of averages will eventually catch up with them. I don't think they would win a series against OKC, SA, Rox, or Clips.

they have to get past the first round but they could beat the clips.... and if the coaching for the rox dont fail us .... then ya we will win

Portland over how many of these teams in a series?

    Clippers?
    Heat?
    Pacers?
    Rockets?
    Spurs?
    Thunder?

    1 of 6? 2 of 6? 3 of 6? 4 of 6? 5 of 6? All 6?

    Clippers lose 4-3
    Pacers win 4-0
    Heat win 4-0
    Spurs win 4-2
    Thunder win 4-1
Rockets dont know our coach could cost us but i would like a 4-2 with us winning
