    I'm all for getting Milsap. He's basically a 100 times better version of Brandon Bass.

    Oh, man, not it's one of the 1st round pick in the next 5 years, and they want it to be the Clipper's pick, which is like 25+. FU Ainge. I am really mad now.

    The biggest weakness of this team is perimeter defense...Bass and Lee would be nicer additions, even though Milsap is the better individual talent.

    Who is our backup Center if we Don't[/b} take this deal? It sure isn't Asik. Sorta hard to backup Dwight when you're spending your pine time staring daggers at everyone.

    Not a "splash!" trade, which we've been kind of used to, but this is a decent return from a purely personnel standpoint. Bass is a capable front-court bench player who can play minutes at PF or C and will fit in well for our team. Courtney Lee adds another 3-point shooter and solid defender. Getting a mid first round pick would be pretty nice too. Committing 11 million/year to two bench players for the forseeable future seems very out of character for this front office, though.

    Players like Lee and Bass are available all the time. And they certainly don't need Asik to be obtained. Millsap is a player that require talent to obtain. Long term wise this year and next year, Millsap is the much better option and it's not even close.

    This is nothing earth-shattering, but I did just run into Daryl Morey in the hallway. I just wished him good luck -- I didn't ask him what I wanted to (which would be, "Do you feel comfortable with at least one offer that is out there?"), but he did say they've been very busy. He closed saying, "We'll see what tomorrow brings."
