We have needed a solid backup SG. With the way this trade looks, Lee will be a rocket once again. He was one of my favorite players when he was here and he always hustles. He is a leader and his hustle will hopefully motivate others to do so too. Harden has had foot problems and now a high ankle sprain. Getting Lee would give him the opportunity to rest. I always see people on here complaining that Harden plays too much, well here is the solution. Great defender. Great pickup for Morey (hopefully)!

If we can get a lottery pick I am fine with Clee and Bass coming in.

Lars is right... He won't be a rocket. Salary wise Morey would never take him

Zero chance rockets end up with any 3 year contracts. No Green, no Lee, no Young. If Lee is involved he is going elsewhere.

It just doesnt make sense with the salary unless we're getting a good pick with it.

    Ha really?

You think McHale is thinking "Okay, I got Courtney Lee now. I can rest Harden and/or lower his minutes."

    HELL NO!

    Parsons and harden.

I think people are overstating the contract issue. If we want another max player in two years, lee's deal will be an expiring. Sign and trade, or moving him to some team with space to absorb him will be options.

No 3 year contracts! Courtney Lee/ Thad Young = no Kevin Love.

He would allow us to get rid of Brewer and cut Garcia's minutes significantly

He is solid on D and decent on Offense and a good enough shooter
And he would flourish in a better Offense than in Boston.

I called CLee and Bass to Houston for Asik! It would be interesting if happens. Lee is one of Howard's best friends and Bass played well with Howard during their time in Orlando. They all fit well with Howard and Harden. Lee might be a little too small to guard Durant or Lebron but he can help guard with the point guards such as Westbook, Lillard and such. And I like Bass's game. But I think Boston would still have to include a first or a couple of 2nd for it to go through. And I would like to get a legit back up center as well.

I'm sure if Morey had a chance at Love/LMA in 2 years, then he can easily move Lee. But we are in winning mode now. If Morey thinks Lee and Bass can make this team better in the foreseeable future then he has to go for it.

Bass can be a backup center against most centers in this league.

and yea I didn't think about Lee guarding Lillard and Westbrook..

he is perfect for those games.

Forget about the salary and odds of getting Lee for this post.

As a player he fits perfect. We expand the rotation by limiting Garcia's minutes (age and shooting slump), using Lee to guards 3's and 2's and space the floor. The guy also went to the Finals with Dwight.
