clutchfans is like the hypebeast trade machine. so much fluff most of you speak of.

severely overrating its own players, underrating others' players and expecting the world.

not a lick of actual talk about skillsets and how skills of other players fit together.

they just want the huge star. well face it. asik isn't one, and sure as **** wasn't going to net us a star.

agreed looking at the stats. Bass and Lee both shoot in the 83% for free throw and though Lee hasn't played much this year his stats are good though small sample. 48% from 3 . he only plays about 16 min a game..
Majority of people are mad because we aren't rumored to land a Milsap or whatever. Asik played one good year within our system and then pouted and didn't do jack.

It's time for the real Morey to show up for these trade talks, & use his Jedi Mind tricks...

HAHAHAHHAHAAHAHHAHA. You're a clown. Yes he did get lucky that they didn't want to sign extensions but was it "luck" that the rockets were perfectly positioned to be able to take them when that happened? I think you're trolling man. Some people will never be pleased.

Well, im not estatic if thats the deal but lts not too bad.

Im imagining we would use Bass and Lee to help the team win until the deadline or untill the offseason where we will trade them for picks. So we'd basically be renting 2 very solid role player until we turn them into late future first or early second RD picks to go along with the pick we get from boston. Solid deal.

the celtics would rather develop bradley and crawford than give big minutes to courtney lee.

it doesn't mean he sucks like most do here. it was just a bad signing for them and it never worked out.

I've never thought that Asik was a player that other teams would place a high value on. He's a nice guy to have if you have no center at all. But his lack of offense and poor hands really hurts his value. Bass and Lee could probably help us, but I'm surprised Morey would take Lee's contract. Smith and DMo are our backup centers if this goes through.

that backup center was our starting center and now we don't have a backup center
watching tjones, dmo playing backup c is awful
    can bass play backup c?
can smith stay on the court before fouling out?

The more I look at this trade, I really don't mind Bass. His contract works with what we're doing. He can be a small ball 5. Can back up Jones. We can't rely on DMo or Caspi or Parsons to defend and rebound at the 4 spot. We can definitely use Lee as a defensive player and he's been shooting pretty good from behind the arc. That contract, though.. The real key is the first rounder. We've seen what Morey can do in the draft, and getting another pick to use in a deal down the line is big. But yeah, Lee's contract... 7.4/10 type grade on my scale. We were never getting Aldridge. Or Millsap by the way he's playing. People wanted Thad Young or Hawes with Evans, but Hinkie is smart. Probably didn't wanna give up a pick himself. It is what it is.

With Lee possibly coming aboard, Garcia can go back to specialist/spot duty. Last few games he hasn't been producing.

What has he done? Parsons is the only good draft pick, Jones might be another one. Others are either busts or gone.

He let Dragic go then overpaid Lin. Trading for scrubs like Hill and Robinson just because. Overpaid Ariza. His biggest accomplisment is the fact that Harden didn't want to resign extension.

Trading top 5 defensive center for two bad contracts and one non-lottery draft pick is one of the worst trades in past 10 years.

Actually it is a single playoff series victory in 16 or 17 years. That part is sad though. With or without Morey.

Find another seven foot center even close to Asik in the draft or coming up in FA. Exactly. You can't. It took us forever to get a center of his caliber. We started 6'5" Chuck Hayes at center for 2 years before we finally overpaid for a crappy seven footer in Dalembert.
