Can somebody tell me about Bass? Many here seem to not be high on him... why?

Explain his game to me. I haven't really watched him play.

 

I knew that Rockets valued Young a lot more than most people realize. He is efficient, can guard multiple positions, and isn't used enough. This is basically the Harden scenario all over again to a lesser degree.

 

Like the Raptors pick in the James Harden trade.

 

Bass is a solid player. It's just a lot of people would want a bigger name. Bass can play both C and PF.

 

Incredible that people who get paid money to think/write/talk about the NBA think that Daryl Morey would take on Courtney Lee's contract.

Guys, you follow the Rockets, this is a Rockets message board. You guys should know better than pretty much everybody that Morey will not be trading for Courtney Lee.

 

Bass= Patterson to me...Bass might play d but its just not a smart move to me

 

Lee would be great as a back-up SG, but that for Asik is just underwhelming.

 

How is the 6'3'' Brandon Bass supposed to help us? If the Boston trade goes down, the Rockets better get a good first rounder (and by good I mean at least expected to be late lottery) back from Boston.

Bass is crap!

Does anybody know how protected that Brooklyn pick is? Rockets would have their own first rounder and Brooklyn's to maneuver. We have our pick this year right?

Yes. I think Lee would get rerouted to a 3rd team.

 

Good mid range shooter, pretty decent defender, but nothing special. I'd be upset if this trade went down tbh. Looks like a Millsap trade is looking like a long-shot.

 

Wasn't Miami looking for a Shooting Guard?

 

Why would bass be a back up C. He's a power forward and ATM is an upgrade over jones. He's a seasoned vet and I'm not sure how he's doing this year but I know he hits mid range jumpers very we'll. t-jones would be back up PF with the ability of putting bass at C if needed. Unless they start out bass as a sixth man. Courtney lee is the versatile sixth man we needed. I have a feeling though rockets are not doing this trade. Just my guy feeling but idk.

 

Morey sure loves those undersized pf's. Lee's also a Morey guy..
Let's wait and see but this can be all there is.
