an offensive foul would not be called on that last shot even in today's NBA.

I laugh at stuff like this

Lebron has benefited from playing the most talented well rounded team in the last 20 years. Miami's by far better than any team in the league from top to bottom right now. People want him to be better than MJ so bad, but he's not. The league has gotten so soft that you can't even breathe on players without a foul. Absolutely no physicality. Plus, what other superstar you know went to another superstar's team to win a ring?

He's a great player and a phenom bodywise, but he's not considered top 5 until he wins a ring without Dwayne Wade. When he does this people can put him in the Jordan, Kobe category

There were MUCH better rim protectors in the 90's.

LeBron doesn't like getting physical. It took him 8 years to introduce any semblance of a post game.

He won a ring without Wade who's been garbage for about half of the last two playoffs.

This has been discussed at length before, and you are wrong. Defenses have gotten better.

What game have you been watching? Both Bosh and Wade underperformed in the playoffs the past two years.

Pippen was a better Robin than Wade over the past two championships, and it really hasn't been close. And please, don't put Kobe and Jordan in the same category.

Have you seen how light they call fouls now?

Like every other perimeter player who develops a post game later into their careers...?

Were they better, or were they better because there were more people able to get to the rim due to the inabilty to play zone.

It actually doens't matter - playing a few games against Hakeem or Dikembe or whatever isn't enough to meaningfully impact the totals over the course of a season/career.

Dec 2013 join date. LOve you bro.

I remember when LeBron first went to Miami to form the Big Three, I provoked an argument when I reasoned that playing with two other great players would result in James neglecting to address the few (somewhat glaring) flaws in his game, growing into the player he was capable of being, and fully realizing his potential. I was shouted down by several posters who said I had absurd expectations, that it was irrational for me to believe LBJ wasn't nearly as good as he could be or playing at his optimum level.

Kind of funny how we were both wrong. Glad I was.

Did Jordan ever take Daniel Gibson and Ilgauskas to the Finals? ;)

Bulls in 93-94 were 55-27 and took the Knicks to 7 games (the same Knicks that were a fingertip away from possibly winning the championship). Granted they were basically a .500 team in 95 before Jordan returned.

    1) Not "every" perimeter does.... in fact, most don't.
    2) Not every perimeter is LeBron's size, most PF's aren't even as big. Yet LeBron waits 8 years to start posting up. He STILL doesn't use it much. He clearly doesn't like getting physical.

    They were better.

Zone nowadays is negated with defensive 3 seconds. It's easier to get to rim today and easier to manuveur with ball. This has greatly aided LeBron's FG%.

People claim Wade's garbarge every year until he shows up and saves another series (without getting credit, smh).

Without Wade or Bosh, Lebron has ZERO rings.

I laugh at stuff like this. The Miami Heat are the most talented and well rounded team in the last 20 years (since 1993)? A team with ZERO interior post presence? LMAO

This team isn't more talented or well rounded than the 08 Celtics or the 09/10 Lakers, especially when you consider how Wade and Bosh actually played last postseason.

Wade was one of the biggest reasons they struggled to win their 2nd ring. He played poorly for the majority of the postseason due to his injury. And Bosh was outplayed by every big from round 2 on.
