What does NY have to offer?

2014 second round draft pick from Sacramento
Sacramento's 2014 2nd round pick to New York (via Boston) protected for selections 31-55 (if this pick falls within its protected range and is therefore not conveyed, then Sacramento's obligation to New York will be extinguished) [Boston-Sacramento-Toronto, 2/19/2009 and then Boston-New York, 2/18/2010]

Knicks unprotected 2018-2020 1st round picks

    Andrea Bargnani
    Iman Shumpert
    Tim Hardaway Jr.

He's like Bev but bigger and a better defender. Not a real offense threat.

Look for the mystery team being the third team to get involved with Rockets and Sixers. I think Boston and Cleveland are going to work with each other separately.

Unless it's Melo, I don't see how the Knicks can offer us anything we would accept. They are capped out, don't have a single vet player on a value contract, have very little young talent (Hardaway Jr.) and don't have any tradable 1st round picks until 2018.

This was pretty much reported this morning on some of the radio outlets — that the Knicks have tried to enter the conversation, but the Rockets are not interested in anything they have to offer.

The "barely involved" thing -- just my two cents, but if you're a team interested in Omer Asik and you are at the mercy of the Rockets choosing a team to deal with, then you're not going to want your players' names out there.

    The Code

Ancient Lurker & first time post.

Do you see what I see from DocRocket? I almost can't believe my eyes

"Asik's decay makes way 4 new mainstay" - Translates: A trade today will be a blockbuster that adds Jeremy Lin to the equation.

"2 purvey & display array of bombs away"- Translates: Our new mainstay (see below) but get playing time for a real 3 point threat and distributor in Isaiah Canaan. He's playing unbelievably well. Whoever is meant here, look up the second definition of "purvey." It means distributor.

Therefore - "If trade is made today," I think we pick up 2 pieces:

"hey!yay!hooray!" - That would be Michael Kidd Gilchrist. The 3 (!!!) and the other clue is "hooray" has two syllables.
"& URICH-A!" - Somebody got this already a few pages back - Spenser Hawes! The TV actor allusion is classic.

"Please Pray" - Translates: You can put these pieces in a trade machine and make it work, but its a complicated 3 team trade. You might need more than Philadelphia and Charlotte to make it happen. Does Boston get Asik? And who gets Lin?

I don't really care if we clear a path for Canaan, add MKG (who fits and we need), and Hawes.

Next 2 days should be interesting on the Omer Asik front, but I'm told Atlanta is "barely involved." Could always change of course.
— Sam Amick (@sam_amick) December 18, 2013

Meaning Ferry said "yeah, we'd like to have Asik. But we aren't giving up Horford, Millsap or a 1st."

    Just my guess, of course.

Lin can coexist with anyone, because he is willing to make any sacrifices necessary for the team to do well.

I am so sick and tired of DocRockets tweets.

    They are really getting stupid..

Now imagine if Murray decides last second we keep Asik lol.
