Does not compute. Both teams want Asik. If we send Asik to NY for Hawes then how do we get Hawes?

I think this makes a lot of sense. A three team trade between Philly and Boston.

Philly has to trade Spencer Hawes this year. He's an expiring contract and Hinkie, being a Morey disciple, isn't gonna let him walk for nothing. 76ers have a possible future lineup of MCW at the 1, Evan Turner at the 2, potentially Jeff Green at the 3, Thaddeus Young at the 4 and Nerlens Noel at the 5. That's a pretty solid lineup.

Boston on the other hand, is kinda iffy. Hard to tell what Ainge wants to do. Before the season started everyone assumed they would tank. Well they're 4th in the East so they need to try harder. Getting rid of Jeff Green really helps out with that since he's their leading scorer. The Celtics have no true center and Asik would be a great one for the future and honestly doesn't cost that much considering how rare/valuable his skill set is.

Houston definitely could use Hawes. He might be able to play a little next to Dwight since he can shoot and would be a solid backup. Hawes < Asik though so I expect Philly would be the team supplying a draft pick here to compensate.

The Knicks are dreaming if they think they belong in the Asik conversation.

Nobody wants their 2020 first round pick.

LOL I was kidding. Knicks have nothing to offer besides may be Shumpert

I'd do Shump, Hawes and a 1st round pick for Asik in a 3 team deal

If Morey finds a way to get Shumpert and a pick, or something like that, he will have topped himself again.

This is what happens when you give away picks like they were Mardi Gras beads.

considering the knicks are going to stink their first and second round picks are going to be valueable. Especially the first which could endup being in the 7th or the 8th range.

They have 2018 AND 2020 picks. And 2nd rounders starting in 2018.

Yeah cap space, a good perimeter defender and a 2021 Knicks 1st round lottery pick.

The thought of Felton running the offense is enough to give one a stroke.

Bah. Millsap was ideal. RT @sam_amick: Next 2 days should be interesting on the Omer Asik front, but I'm told Atlanta is "barely involved."
