When was the first time you guys heard of DocRocket?

During the Dwight trade?

 

Doc wants to give us info but he has to be realllly vague otherwise he could land in hot water. Dude is legit though. Pretty sure he sits on the bench during games and is a senior vp of basketball ops.

 

I think that's arguable. We don't really know what Ferry's goals were in terms of the team. If he was building a "win now" team, then the acquisition of the older players made a lot more sense. If he was building a longer term team, then the acquisitions didn't make nearly as much sense.

Either way, the Cavs' record under Ferry were solid. .645 win percentage, 1 finals appearance, and multiple deep play off runs is more than respectable. And he was still good enough that he was re-hired by the Spurs as the VP of Basketball Operations after he left the Cavs before being hired as Atlanta's GM.

Given that the Spurs aren't exactly dummies when it comes to the front office personnel, I suspect Ferry was judged to different standard than other GM's simply because Lebron was on the team.

 

No. If you people did your homework, you'd know that he actually knows people inside the orginization. Doc is legit whether or not all of you want to believe it. Like I said, deals can be close and then teams back out, doesn't make him any less an insider.

Doc has been around for years. He was predicting th mac trade. He predicted the Moutombo trade as well.

There is a difference between dealing him for assets, trading him for an expiring/heavily protected meaningfulness 2nd round pick, and dumping him. At least with the expiring you get a decent rental and do not have to give up any assets. I believe the Rockets would have to dump Lin like Royce white, except they have to use the full $3 million and possibly give up other assets.

Calm down. You do this a lot. I would understand if it were the Astros. I hope it doesn't end up being your shtick.

It's been more than a year and there are people that still don't know this?

 

There were enough Rockets fans screaming championship as well. Mind you our season hasn't been a disaster like theirs, but we're looking to fall well short of our expectations.

 

They are saying Asik for Gasol swap, Lin to Philly. i don't know, makes no sense

 

Lot of folks here thought Matt Bullard was Doc which was kind of strange.

That's not the point. The point is I do not go on the Texans thread and talk about the Rockets. If you want to talk Texans, go to their thread or turn on local sports radio, that's all they do

We have enough posters going off topic on this thread. Last thing we need is to have about a page filled with the overrated Texans related posts

 

This really makes me wonder about how old most of you posters are. Sports is just entertainment for us, but teams are also organizations worth hundreds of millions of dollars and a business.

No "insider" leaks information on a forum. Something like that could cost teams and would cost jobs.

Everything is pure speculation. Have fun with it.
