Only Love Nene is good out of the # 42 list and the teams are not trading him.

 

Mannix is not ESPN. And no this is not ESPN trying to make the deal look bad, it's rival GMs who want Asik at a lower price that are trying to make the deal look bad. These reports are awesome cause it shows Morey is being a hard A$@ in negotiations and he should come out of this with the franchise in a better position.

Nene rhymes with all the words in the tweet, wears 42, would fill in at the 4, and we tried to sign him as a FA (if the Pau deal went through).
I'm not a fan of it, but makes sense compared to the tweet.

 

They shopped him in the off-season with no takers. Taking of the Rockets red tinted glasses he's only had a 9 game hot streak to start the season and then back to down to Earth followed by another injury. Teams aren't going to change their minds over 9 games. Lin will never be traded on his current deal.

Nene would be a phenomenal get for us. Dude is one of the best low post scorers in the league and has a ok mid-range shot. He is also massive. He and Dwight will be the biggest frontcourt in the league.

 

Also Doc Rockets tweets are fun, and he might be plugged into a sports agency or a friend in the business but we are talking about someone about a month ago who pretty much all but said that Ilyasova would be a Rocket. At this point in time obviously Morey himself is still negotiating with a ton of teams. If Morey is still negotiating, how in the world could Doc R know for sure who is and who isn't being traded?

 

I think you need to grab a cup of coffee, it's still a bit early. Go look at Nenes injury history and let's come back to this discussion later on.

Blockbuster 4 team trade?

Some of the LOFs can shut up about trading Lin now. Nobody wants an expensive PG who is better suited coming off the bench. PGs are a dime a dozen and I think the Rockets would be lucky to get an expiring for Lin.

 

Only thing I'd see happening with the Knicks would be facilitating Lowry there & it netting us Amir Johnson. It's more complicated than that, but that would be my guess (or hope, rather).

I think y'all are looking too much into the 4 and 2 in Doc's tweet. It's probably just to save characters.
