They'll be better with Tyson Chandler back.

But they belong in elderly care. Everybody is breaking down.

Melo will leave. Stuck with Amare for another year. And they will be too stubborn to trade Melo this year, and Mike Woodson will be trying to win at all costs (to save his job), and with Tyson back they'll get back into the playoffs to be a 6th to 8th seed (yes, the East is that bad), and they'll miss out on a good pick for rebuilding and then lose Melo.

They will beg Lin to come back once his poison pill contract is up.

I'm a big fan of Les and Morey. I doubt Morey will trade Lin unless the Rockets get a superstar back in return.

Just think of it. Morey cut Lin because of roster space when Lin was making the rookie min. Linsanity happens and Les is beyond upset to see the Rockets struggle and not make the playoffs but see Lin dominate the league breaking NBA records for the most points and ast for the first 8 starts of any NBA player in history. The Knicks who were 8-15 before Linsanity wins 7-8 games in a row without their star Melo with Lin dominating. Les calls and yells at Morey after every game Lin dominates and is featured on espn. The next season the Rockets sign Lin to a 8 million/yr contract.

Now Morey is a MIT graduate. He is a borderline genius. Unless the Rockets get a star back for Lin why would he trade Lin for a role player, cap space, draft picks if there is the possibility Lin goes off and repeats Linsanity for another team.

Imagine how the owner would react to see this happen 2 times in a row.

And for those who hate Lin, trust me if he is healthy and playing for a coach who will start him and let him do his thing, let him play 37 mpg and not put him on a short leash, Lin can be a 20+ ppg, 8 apg player maybe even much higher.

Lin playing for the Lakers under D'antoni could put up numbers that rival Harden.

Imagine how bad that is for Morey and his job security. Since Morey is a genius and probably ran a bunch of statistical numbers he wont want to risk his job on such a low reward, high risk move.

Now if thr Rockets gets an establish superstar for Lin then the Lin would be dumped in a NY minute

Bev is an offensive catastrophe who has done nothing in the NBA. An unproven rookie.

Brooks is an established NBA player and shown he can start too. He is in his 20s, a MIP winner, was the starting PG for the Rockets in their best season in over a decade where they won mid 50s wins, a playoff series win, lost in a close 7 games series in the 2nd round.

I would trust the vet over the rookie. Anyone would. Plus as I mentioned before, Bev stinks on offense and his defense is hyped. He is poor on D a lot as well.

I guarantee to you in a D'antoni system if Lin is healthy he will be a 20 ppg player. Lin is basically a 20 ppg player for the Rockets this season minus the games he got injured and played a few min, and the 2-3 games especially the Mavs game where the coach benches him and plays him 17 min.

If somehow Lin/Asik goes to the Lakers for Pau you will be and look very dumb questioning it.

That's speculation, Lin is not a player that can night in and night out drop 20. You have to be more realistic than that, there is not a team where Lin would be the primary scorer in the league, at best the second option and would still need at least 15 shots to get there. This is my problem with Lin fans, unrealistic and unfair expectations. He is good but will most likely max out around 17 ppg and that is good but he's not putting up top 10 scoring average in the league.

15 spg is not that much for a 2nd option. Lin could easily be a 2nd option and avg around 20 ppg for Mike D'antoni.

He was avg more than 17 ppg for the Rockets this year before the injuries and benching so I don't know why you think his max is 17 ppg.

Even during Linsanity he wasn't taking insane number of shots. He was just making a high FG% like he did for us the early part of the season.

I doubt it will happen and I do not want it to happen but if Lin is traded to the Lakers and he is healthy you'll be eating your words that his max is 17 ppg.

you are delusional if you think Lin will average that playing alongside Kobe and Nick Young, 5000 d'antoni's wouldn't get Lin enough touches to get 20 ppg playing on that Lakers squad

Taking a 18 game stretch is not something to base an argument off of. He was hot and did take a lot of shots during that stretch. What he did during that stretch isn't sustainable for a player like him, he is a streaky shooter and there is a point of diminishing returns. He is a scorer not a pure shooter so he would need a minimum on average of 15 shots and that is a conservative number. If you temper your expectations for Lin and appreciate he's a solid player and could be a good 3/4 option on a contender and is best utilized as a 6th man I think you'll be happier with his situation. There isn't a single team in the nba that would showcase him as their star because he isn't that type of player no matter how bad you want him to be.

I don't give a s..t about Lin once he isn't here anymore but to say he can't avg 20 ppg if he is healthy playing for Mike D'antoni is foolish.

Even the most die hard Lin haters and doubters say they can see him putting up insane numbers on a bad team as a 1st option, 20+ ppg/8 APG range but his team will likely lose a lot of games. To say he can't avg more than 17 ppg is the same as those who said Lin can't be a player in the NBA or he can't start for a NBA playoff team...It's just irrational.

Many NBA players who plays 10 years in the league has never scored 30 points in a single game. We saw Lin do it in b2b games just this year. Of course he can avg more than 17 ppg if he is healthy, plays heavy minutes as the starter, and plays for a coach who will play him regardless if he is hot or cold like McHale played Parsons earlier this season when Chandler was ice cold for the first 10 or so games

Anyone presumably given the opportunity could average 20 a game, let Terrence Jones take 20 shots a game and he could but no one in their right mind is going to let inferior players get that much usage. Like I said 17 ppg is about right given the opportunity. I'd like to see Lin do well here or anywhere seems like a good guy.

Umm no, we got Harden before season started. He was never showcased as a star he was signed to a contract off of Les wanting to correct a mistake, Lin had a chance last year and did ok he can get better but I don't see him being a top tier pg.

    20% usage rate, 17pts/game on 30 min.

25% usage rate (typical for PGs), 36min per game, that is 25% increase in usage rate and 20% increase in minutes.

You take either one, and you get 20pts/game. You take both, and you'll probably get 20pts/game comfortably.

And you'll get 2nd and even 3rd options with 36 min and/or 25% usage rate.

    It is that simple.

That does not make sense. Beverley as starter average 8.5 shots per game now, if there is that much shots for Beverley as a starter, I could not see why you don't have that much shots for Lin as starter. After all, Lin shots much better than Beverley.

Plus, the argument for Lin don't get enough shots when play with Harden, and he would get much more chance from bench is none sense, Harden play 40 min a game, does not matter Lin come in from bench or come in from Mars, he would play more minutes together with Harden than without Harden.

I'm not a Lin hater at all, I like his game and there are a lot of players given the opportunity that could score 20 a game, the reason they aren't is that's not the type of player they are, Goran had just this past week a couple 30 point games does that mean he's a star in the making, I don't think so, if he can sustain it for a season or at least 50 games then they would have the makings of being a star.

The vast majority of NBA experts would disagree with you. Under D'antoni most people will think Lin can avg 20 ppg.

Lin is not a volume shooter. He is a pass first PG who usually takes 10 spg or less.

Hey this was mentioned in the press I forgot by who but many players who have played in the NBA 10 plus years has never scored 30 points in a single game in their career. Lin has shown flashes where he does things only superstars has accomplished.

Lin broke the NBA record for most points scored in his first 7-8 starts. No every NBA player can do that. Only a few in NBA history has held that distinction.

Lin has multiple games where he scored more than 25 ppg.

Bev has never once scored 25 ppg. I believe his career high is 19 points and he is a starting PG who plays heavy min

Dragic can avg 20 ppg under D'antoni.

You should know more about D'antoni since you are a rockets fan. The Suns/Lakers play in the WC.
