Wildcat: Detroit involving Monroe. Detroit won't be tying up all its near-max contracts (to be) on the frontline with Josh Smith, Monroe and Drummond.

Monroe will be up for a near-max (if not max) contract next year. They can well sign him to that contract and trade him in the next one to two years while Drummond is on the rookie scale, but it doesn't help the fact that their team is inbalanced and in need of more perimeter help. And the 3 (Smith, Monroe and Drummond) together is a poor mix for spacing.

 

You must not be familiar with the Daryl Morey way. We are gonna take everything straight to the deadline and squeeze every last drop of value out of this trade.

Daryl Morey will make you swap 2nd round picks with him in 2023 if he needs to. Include an option to confiscate your hotel room at this year's All-Star game. Put in a provision to have you hand Sean Elliot over to the Taliban bound, gagged, and tongueless. He doesn't wanna know details. Just make it happen.

I wonder if Ferry is willing to give up Asik for Milsap. Milsap is the most underrated advanced stats all-star in the league.

 

Somewhere in all these tweets there was a quote about 5-6 deals on the table. Pretty sure this has to be one of them.

 

Davis can stretch the floor much better than Howard or Asik which is why he would fit better with Asik than Asik with Howard.

 

There's always that wonderful unexpected 3-team trade.

Don't know what it'd be. Detroit needs a 3, one who might stick around. Evan Turner? MKG (although he needs time to heal)?

IF Detroit is the wild card (which is probably just Morey using the twitter-sphere to his benefit).

 

Get Charlotte involved with MKG and Lin to Detroit, Asik to Bobcats, Monroe to Houston. Something like that anyway..
