Sam Amick video, @ 1:15 says the Rockets "want the ability to move any players they back in a (Asik) trade by the February 20th trade deadline. The only way they can do that is by pulling the trigger on a Asik deal by Thursday."

I don't get it, this is old news now...that was the whole point of the self-imposed 19th deadline.

No. A few trades have been rescinded after players failed their physicals. Tyson Chandler to the Thunder was a recent example.

Why the speculation of Boston trading away Green or Bass ... I would take Sullinger.

The one thing in that article is that every player he's considering sending to Houston has a multi year contract ....

    Bass - two years.
    Lee - three years.
    Brooks - two years.
    Bogans - three years.
    Crawford is an expiring.

Im really not interested in any of those pieces tho Bass may offer some short term help and would be an expiring to move prior to next offseason.

I doubt Morey takes back multi year contracts in exchange for Asik unless they pony up some significant draft considerations.

I'd prefer Humphries and Olynyk or Humphries and a pick .... as Ive posted numerous times.
Humphries should you move him in a later deal at the deadline allows you to take back a significantly larger deal then as he's nearly double the salary as Bass $12m vs $6.75 which allows you to take back a $14m contract vs $8.1m (Deng(14.3m)a significant portion of Melo's cost should he become available?)
As well as clearing the books of that salary for the 2014 offseason.

Humphries is the only Celtic that makes financial and contractual sense.

I don't know, I just don't see the fit of Rondo and Harden.

Howard and Rondo would be godly. But I don't know about Harden and Rondo.

Harden is willing to defer to Rondo. Not sure if Lin has his respect yet, to be able to let him run the offense.

If it does happen, I can think of worse problems to have.

Paul Pierce was player that needed the ball in his hands and it seems like it worked just fine in Boston.

Thing people don't understand. Harden usage shouldn't be as high as it is anyway. While he is very good with the ball in his hands, we will not win with him doing that all game. Take the ball out of his hands and let Rondo run the offense, Harden has plays called for him while not using so much energy.

A two-year contract doesn't really matter. Even we hypothetically dealt Asik for an expiring, the Rockets still aren't in a position to have cap room next summer. You'd have to also deal Lin and others for expirings as well, and I highly doubt that happens on a team built to contend this year.

Anything over two years could be problematic, because Morey likely wants the flexibility of 2015 should anything go wrong... but I really don't think there's a big difference between a one-year deal and a two-year deal for us.

Woj is the best. That said, he had Bucks staying in Brew Town and simultaneously heading to Latte Town. It can happen to the best of them.
