Omer Asik Trade. Rumors, Tweets and Updates. (Deadline Dec 20th)

Just browsing through the Hawks forums they want Asik, Jones, and our 2014 first in exchange for Milsap. Anything less and they think they are getting ripped off.

 

And you're surprised by this? Let Atlanta keep Millsap. He's a good player but by no means is he unique.

 

The majority of the posts here are just as lopsided in our favor. It's normal.

Funny, since every trade Morey has made always pisses the other teams' forum off. They'll learn to live with it.

 

Clearly, Hawks fans don't know who they are dealing with. Morey would flip that deal around and get Milsap, Teague, and the Hawks 1st rounder for Asik.

Am I the only one that thinks Milsap is grossly overrated on this board?

 

To me he's on par with Asik in terms of value. No better, no worse.

I'd rather have a happy Milsap over unhappy Asik.

 

You could argue that the Thomas Robinson trade to Portland did not.

 

They did send us a Greek player fans really liked. They thought he was coming over this year too.

 

No. Milsap is a nice player. A sparkplug. Great 6th man. But he's built in the mold of a utility player. I think Asik has a bigger impact on the court when he's out there than Milsap does.

He's good, he fills a need, and his contract matches, but Atlanta fans are ob crack if the think Morey will cough up Asik and a first for him.

And I think the two teams we deal with are going to be Philly and Boston, because of their connections with Morey, and also because those teams both utilize advanced stats, perhaps more than some of the other teams mentioned.

A three team trade between Houston, Philly, and Boston seems very likely to me.

 

If that's a trade that sends Asik to Dallas I don't want it to happen. Unless it's Charlotte's pick.

Free as in they take Lin's contract and we end up in the clear for this summer's free agents.
