Sigh, my words have been taken out of context and I wish i phrased it differently, i regret that now. I deserve the heavy fire.

I will make it easy for you.

Catholics do not in general believe in vampires.

Catholics are the "oldest" main stream Christianity.

    Catholics do not worship idols.

Catholics believe in the holy trinity.

Catholicism is a HUGE denomination, there are many differences from nation to nation and person to person.

I find Catholics to be very generous and give greatly to charities, with little expected in return. That is to say, they do not expect you to go to church or even be a Christian to partake in their charity, all you have to do is need it.

Catholics also, surprisingly, are very much against prosperity sermons and believe in the importance of humanity, regardless of income.

Your context, intent, bias, and conceit were all very clear from the outset.

Also, I'd love to see the snake-handling Pastor take up some of our Aussie legends...

Hilarious. You talked about ridiculous Catholics and vampires and all other manner of condescending bull****. Now that people have called you on it, you claim to be taken out of context and are running away.

    Good riddance.

Aren't Pentecostals the ones that don't allow women to wear pants? I dated a Pentecostal chick once. Total freak.

I think they also aren't allowed to cut their hair in certain sects. When I was a teenager, we used to see a fairly large family of pentacostals around town and all the females in the family always wore long dresses and had so much hair it would be tied in a bun on their heads and it still hung to their knees.

Au contraire, I think the show is just beginning.

Aren't Pentecostals the ones that speak in tongues and handle snakes?

I went to some Pentecostal churches growing up. At one for the "teen group" session a woman told us about how she had no money but one day at church she found five dollars in her purse that she knew was not there before. She thought it must be a sign so she gave it to the church offering plate. Sure enough, a couple of days later she got a gift of fifty dollars from some random place. So she knows that Jesus gave her ten times her invest, net and she promised us that anything we give to the church would come back to us tenfold and that we should tell our parents about the miracle. Hilarious but also pretty evil to try to prey on kids for cash. Where does it say this in the bible?

Also, one time at vacation bible camp (I never turned down invites...I was always interested in different practices) a group of kids were playing a role playing game. One of the counselors came in and was horrified and one of the kids says "it is not D&D though! It is Marvel comics". "Oh, ok. That is fine. As long as it is not D&D." I thought that was hilariously ignorant. Why do Pentecostals think only D&D role playing is evil but not other kinds? Where is that in the bible?

At this other Pentecostal church they thought I was evil and were part scared of me and part trying to convert me. One night we had Bible trivial pursuit and I mopped the floor with everyone. Suddenly the counselors were very interested in me and some of the girls started telling me that they saw me in a new light and were now interested in spending some alone time with me. Why do Pentecostals not know very much about the Bible and why are Pentecostal girls such sluts?

I just want to talk about it because I love being more educated.

My friend's mom got a divorce and remarried a pentecostal (she was baptist) -- she had to wear these very plain dresses (no pants) and couldn't cut or color her hair. They weren't a very religious family, but the sudden changes she had to make to become pentecostal caused a lot of family problems. There were a number of other odd things she had to do as well -- she looked like an 18th or 19th century farm woman to me.

You mean you haven't read Jesus' sermon to the investment group?

All those stories are pretty funny. Growing up, and playing D&D some parents were concerned, though not outright against it for religious reasons. Other parents thought it was funny, and bought us tapes of religious leaders talking about how evil D&D was.

I had a sister in law that was Pentecostal. She wore only pants and wouldn't wear make up. Then sometimes she'd get mad at my brother and thought she'd punish him by wearing jeans and make up. He didn't mind that at all, but in her mind she was teaching him a lesson. She also made him throw out his D&D stuff, which was kind of sad, because he was the greatest DM ever, and had a ton of cool stuff.

I guess it's true that Pentecostals do not value formal education since your own experience is more valued than truth.

The Pentecostals in my extended family aren't allowed to wear shorts, aren't allowed to dance, manage to speak (and write, somehow) in tongues, and got offended at my family reunion because some of us were playing nickel ante Bourré.

We actually had a family meeting at the reunion where this group of people threatened to leave and never come back if we continued gambling.

    We gambled the next day.
