I actually wouldn't mind Lou Williams. He's looked pretty good coming off of knee surgery, but I don't know if he could completely fill the Lin void (if they're set on eliminating AB from the rotation if the other two PGs are healthy, which is how it seems).

Yeah, but you're completely leaving out the value that a 21 year-old with a lot of raw potential brings to the table. Especially one that has made an improvement like Jones has so far. Jones's value, as I said before, is only getting better by the week. Not only that, but he's on a decent rookie-scale contract. Asik alone is probably worth Millsap, to the Hawks. Jones plus Asik is worth a lot more. I don't think Morey will entertain talks of trading Jones unless it is in a package to bring in a third All-star. That's kind of Morey's MO. Stock up on young potential and move it out for an All-star. We're either keeping Jones, or he'll be a part of a bigger move for the future.

That fits with what we want to do right now, pick up salary in the form of expiring deals to go with the other assets.

How about Bass and Jeff Green for Asik? Isn't that better than just Milsap? I mean then we get a backup for Harden and a guy that has played with Dwight before and worked pretty well with him.

I believe Craig Ackerman was just mocking the guy pestering Jason Friedman about Lin's "fake" back injury.

The guys with foil hats are even asking people who post recent photos with Lin if Lin looked injured.

Jones is decent but he's not consistent given the fact he is young makes a difference but I always think he will just be a sub par good player and he's sort of undersized for a pf

Wait, what? Is there actually a report or rumor about Jones+Asik for Millsap or is this just somebody's opinion here?

Someone's opinion. I was just pointing out how it would be foolish of the Rockets to do this trade (someone else proposed it).

Miami will never trade Bosh unless LBJ approves and he won't approve. I do think Bosh is the best guy to have with Dwight as he is basically the best superstar option out there.

At the end of the day, I think Philly is the team we are trading Asik to with help from a third team. I would love to have Spencer Hawes, I've always liked his game and he would fit in really well in the bench as he can rebound and has somewhat of a post game but can also play with Howard as he can shoot the three.

I would say the basic trade is going to be like this:
    Rockets:
Out - Asik and either Dmo/Smith
In - Hawes, hopefully another big guy, 2nd round picks

    Philly:
    Out: Hawes, fillers
In: Asik, 1st and 2nd round picks

    Third team:
    Out: filler, picks
    In: expiring contracts, picks

Our boy Jake Pavorsky from libertyballers.com posted this up a few hours ago.

As Clutch pointed out today, a part of the consideration is Green's contract lasting until 2016, when the Rockets most likely want cap space no later than 2015, which is when Asik and Lin's contracts expire and when such free agents as Love and Aldridge become available.

If it's not a package of draft picks, I think I would put my money on Hawes. I feel like it's a stretch to bet on Millsap :(

How reliable is Sheridan? Not that he's saying much -- just curious.

    I wait for Woj. [IMG]

Less reliable than us. He just speculates but isn't clued on as well as we are on what the team is doing, needs, etc. Nice guy. But he has no special sources or inside track.

Yikes. That Sheridan article was pure speculation on his part. Not worth the click.
