And it has got to be a kick in the gut to know the Cavs completely whiffed on the #1 pick. The coaching hire and that pick were the best things the Cavs had going to improve the team.

That is a truly screwed up organization.

But Kryie's shot is struggling this season. But i think he will find his shot, it's a long season.

Well he did just win Player of the Week so I think it was just a matter of him getting used to the new roster/coach or simply finding his shot...

Probably because I drafted him first round in my fantasy league.

He was great from January to the end of the season last year. He's had a bad start to this season due to not playing most games, but he's been great since coming back from the most recent ankle injury. He outplayed CP3 when the Nets played the Clippers last week. If we see more of him over the next couple of weeks, it might turn out that he's back to old form.

they missed on a few picks

    thompson, waiters and bennett

i mean you can probably handle missing out on one of the 3 but all three?

if you told me that you would have 4 draft picks in the top 5 three years in a row and with two of them being the #1 overall pick -- i would have said - OKC of the east but the cavs only hit on Kyrie who was the obvious #1 pick - i would hate to see if there wasnt a consensus #1 overall that year like last year when they selected Bennett.

i mean the cavs could have this squad right now as their starting 5

    kyrie
    victor oladipo
    klay thompson
    anderson varejao
    andre drummond

thats so much better than the current squad - but then again if they got both kyrie and klay they probably wouldnt be in a position to draft drummond and then oladipo

They should have Drafted Oladipo, then trade Waiters for an impact player.

Whiffed on the #1 pick? Seriously?

If all 30 NBA GMs could redo the 2011 draft, 30/30 would put Kyrie #1. It's a huge no-brainer.

I can't believe how many of you guys are burying Kyrie Irving likes he's dead and gone. He will figure it out. Remember where he's playing and who the coach is. Circumstances don't excuse everything, but they can be a drag on a young player.

He's having a bad year, but he'll recover

but sad to see he's fallen off, imo he's actually having a worse statistical year than Jennings

Superstar level talent but he was overrated even when he was putting up better numbers, he hasn't been able to lead the Cavs to wins. People like to put down Rudy Gay but in his best year he was putting up 20 ppg, shooting 47% and 40% from 3 and grabbing 6 rebounds a game.

On the flip side Kyrie is still young and could develop into a true superstar and winner, but it was very premature to anoint him as such last year.

John Wall has the talent and potential to be the best PG a few years from now. It's all about how much he can improve.
