Heard the following on ESPNLA Radio's Lakers Pregame Show just now, when the topic of Pau Gasol trade rumors was being discussed:


Steve Mason (Host): I normally would have speculated that Houston would have interest given that Daryl Morey traded for Pau a couple years ago and Omer Asik available, but then Dwight is there and I don't think they get along...

Ramona Shelburne (Lakers beat writer): Actually Dwight loved playing with Pau.

Mason: Really?

Shelburne: Yeah, Pau was a great facilitator and all that... Not sure Pau enjoyed playing with Dwight. But Pau isn't exactly in a great bargaining position right now.

If he's there, Morey may need to pull that trigger now. Love isn't a sure thing and this team still needs another top level talent. We shouldn't have more trouble with role players out, but we do. Harden and Howard aren't carrying this team like other 1-2 punches can. Rondo may not be able to shoot, but we can definitely use his passing.

 

If Sheridan is naming all these teams, is "leader" really the word?

 

If Howard was down and the Rockets believed that Gasol was cool with it, I'd be very much in for a Lin/Asik for Farmar/Gasol trade
