Does anyone here think Lin is more efficient when he is a shooting guard? Similar to Westbrook, Lin played shooting guard in college, and had to adjust to become a point guard once he got to the NBA.

He is 6'3, so he's not that short.

I would be very surprised if Jeremy is still in a Rockets uniform next week.

I think Lin fans would be happy with that Christmas present as well, for whatever reason a lot of Houston people love to name call and bully on this forum. New York fans were much more receptive to new people coming to their forums and rooting for their team. The vibe was much more positive, old school people on this forum more often than not seem to be mean and confrontational.

People don't seem to realize or care that some people are big sports fans and come from markets without NBA teams and thus find a favorite player and root for their team, I love this team as constructed but a lot of the fans taint the experience.

no the intrusion of Lin fans tainted our experience. I hope they know they took a **** on this forum and then left, that's all they did.

We've experienced fanboys of way semi superstars like Tmac and Yao and their fans were nothing compared to LOF's. Complete lack of respect for people in this forum, lacks basketball knowledge, race baits like no tomorow, takes everything personal for no reason.

I pray for the next basketball forum they ruin

Isn't the motto "In Morey we trust" ?

You should be blaming him, when he knew Lin had a worldwide fan base...

    This.

Why would the Rox want to trade our best option off the bench for a minimal upgrade somewhere? Jeremy is good for the team right now, both sides need to deal with it and shut up about the trading thing

To me its a chicken and egg situation. It seemed like right when I found out clutchfans existed there was a hoard of people hating on Lin already before the first game. I remember my first day on this forum I had to look up the term "LOF" on google because in 6months on the biggest NYK forum I never once ran into that term.

Why do you think Lin Fans came here in the first place? They wanted to find like minded people with common interest to root for the same team. Of course when they come and surprisingly find extreme hostility right off the bat they became defensive, created an immediate rift, and then subsequently weren't productive posters. In these kind of situations people who are blindly hating and instigating are more often in the wrong than people who are just being fans.

Here is a post of yours from another this thread, Harden and Lin among NBA's best drivers: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?p=8518927#post8518927

Seems like you aren't exactly helping with the race baiting.

I don't think people would mind if people came to this forum as Jeremy fans and rooted for the team. I've said this before -- I'm a Rockets fan first and foremost, but I love a handful of players on other teams. Nate Robinson is probably my favorite player in this league. I want to see him succeed, and I (silently) root for him to do well individually, even when we play the Nuggets. But I'm not a Nuggets fan, nor do I root for their overall success. So I wouldn't go to a DEN fan forum and amass a post history full of pro-Nate rhetoric -- and more importantly, anti-Ty Lawson, anti-Randy Foye, anti-[insert other Nuggets player here] rhetoric -- because I assume the people who post there are genuine Nuggets fans who wouldn't take kindly to me putting down their other players in Nate's defense, or on his purported behalf.

I think there are some people who are Jeremy fans first and consistently root for the team to do well overall, whether he's starting or not, whether he's injured or playing. Webattorney and a couple of others whose usernames escape me at the moment come to mind. Then there's a segment of people who are Jeremy fans and couldn't possibly care less whether the team excels or implodes overall -- so long as Jeremy gets a "fair" number of minutes, touches, and media compliments. This tends to be accompanied by over-the-top criticisms of anyone in the organization or on the roster who is perceived as a threat to Jeremy or an impediment to his personal success. I mean, it's a valid way to feel... but it can't come as a surprise that people on a Rockets fan forum would find it off-putting.

Yup. I don't even understand where the sudden certainty is coming from -- that random statement from that random guy that says the Rockets would trade him if the right deal came along? Well, okay... have you met Daryl Morey? Pretty much everybody outside of Harden and Howard could and would be traded if the right deal came along. Don't think we needed someone to point that out.

Do you understand that when you dismiss another human being's opinion as arbitrarily of less value than your own and insult them personally rather than engage intelligently on the issues then it's not going to create a positive environment?

You may never admit this, but those who resort to name calling to win an arguement are responsible for the situation u are complaining about.

When your starting position is that they lack basketball knowledge, are less intelligent and all their opinion is race baiting it's kind of hard for people to respond positively to that.

If anyone has shat on 'your doorstep' sir, I submit that they have merely added to the pile that you lay there yourself. If you make it look like a toilet don't complan if that is how it is used.

Seems like apollo33 is a douchebag that got baited. Props for the good detective work in finding his inflammatory post.

NONE of this would have started if fans of Lin came to CF to find a welcoming environment which projected an attitude of "We're glad you're here, we hope you get to like the rest of the Rockets too as we have a great team and city . . . "

But what we got was dog**** fans of a second-rate team who think their **** don't stink 'cause they've got their head up their ***.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. Like, it can't be shocking that people are tired of this.

well guess what, nobody "hated on Lin" before the first game. Players gets criticized, doubted, praised etc. on forums, that's what clutchfans is for. Casspi was called **** when he was signed, DD spent 90% in 2010 shetting on Lowry in the , Rafer Alston was heavily universally criticised to no end before he was traded.

It's the Lin fans coming in here and getting all defensive and started calling people racists and shet. I remember the first month Lin was signed here, I was labeled as some sort of extreme racist even though i'm Chinese myself.

If Lin fans wanted to find a place to discuss things of common interest, they should respect the forum in which they are joining. They didn't, all they did was get defensive about every other bad thing said about Lin, derail endless threads defending him, and in worst case scenerios goes and calls people here rednecks and racists.

I hope Lin doesn't get traded, so the LOFs can cry themselves to sleep at night.

Congratulations on getting trolled and playing into the stereotype of the irrational, angry Lin fan. You just give proof to the LOF obessive's argument. Perhaps you should act how you want to be perceived rather than conform to people's expectations of you?
