    I'll say it again

    Houston gets: Rondo and Hawes
    Boston gets: Young and Lin
Philly gets: Omer, DMo, and clippers first round pick via boston

    Who says no?

Boston. They give up Rondo and a first for Lin and the lesser Thadeus? That makes no sense.

I am with you. The 19th cant come soon enough.

Furthermore, whatever team Asik end up on is likely to become one I root for to lose every game.

Thats 75 to 80 cents on the dollar for Rondo coming off of injury. The first round pick might be a little much. Maybe replace the first rounder from Clippers in 2015 to this years second rounder from Dallas or if we're feeling really generous, sending one of our acquired second round picks instead of Boston doing it. But unless they are getting another star in return for Rondo, I don't think they can get that much better of a deal.

And that trade sets them up for a "hey, we have a bunch of young players and draft picks" trades for a big name.

Lin, Asik, DMo for Rondo and Wallace

We do it for Rondo and the Celtics get good pieces and out from under the Crash contract.

Rondo would be a liability since he does nothing to improve spacing for Howard and can't hit the open 3.

Sixers source would not confirm or deny possible Asik trade, but did say they will NOT trade Evan Turner for him.

I talked to some sources within in the Rockets organization, and they said a trade is all but finalized. In classic Morey style, it's completely out of left field. You would have never guessed, but the Rockets are getting:

    That's right. Abraham Lincoln.

No predicting our main man Morey, but this appeals to me-- and might appeal to him: Asik, Lin, and D-Mo for Hawes and Wroten. We'd do it to increase our cap flexibility going forward (pun intended) (Hawes expires; Wroten's a nice rookie contract) and "for basketball reasons" (Hawes would make a good stretch four, can rebound and scrap a bit; Wroten is a long, athletic, 20-yo PG with upside). This deal might appeal to Hinkie, since he gets the defensive centerpiece and, potentially, three future starters, or at least solid contributors.

Looks like we are trading D-Mo for good ole Honest Abe judging by the jersey number.

You know, I don`t think that is true - sure, he is no threat to hit a 3 pointer, but if his defender plays of him, he will make them pay. Not by hitting that open shot, but by instantly driving in the lane and either get a layup or, if a defender comes to help, hit the open big guy. Rondo will find him every time.

So Rondo shouldn`t get the ball with the shot clock winding down, but other than that, you can`t just leave him open because he will make you pay.

    How dead is this deadline?

What if Rockets can't find the right trade by then? Scratch that, after such "announcement", there will not be a right trade or fair trade. What if we can't find an acceptable trade? What do we do then?

When everyone is so ready for something to happen, and they all have different pictures of what it should be like afterwards, I wonder what the contingency plan is.

Don't you think he would wear number 16?
