I don't get it----why people keep bring Rondo up, an upgrade over Lin/Bev on paper, but we cut the ball into two parts and give Rondo and Harden each a piece?

Depends, if you can get Rondo for just Lin and Asik it's a no brainier.

But yes, for the rockets a PG needs to be able to

    A) Good enough defensively to "hide" Harden on defense.

    and

    B) Be able to hit 3s on a consistent basis.

What, you mean you can't turn trade override on and make the Celtics accept the trade against their wishes?

I'm not a fan of Rondo and especially him being here with Harden already needing the ball in his hands. But "theoretically" Lin & Asik for Rondo may have been discussed weeks ago. Which would make since why Boston's name is now coming up in the rumor mill.

    To validate my statement:
    Dalembert
    Bynum
    Howard & Garcia
    Lin

I'm not sure how this is even a real concern considering the Rockets have one of the most efficient offenses in the NBA as it stands.

    #2 Points per game - http://www.teamrankings.com/nba/team-stat/scoring-category
    #4 Offensive efficiency - http://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/offensive-efficiency
    #3 Shooting percentage - http://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/shooting-pct
    #3 Effective FG% - http://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/effective-field-goal-pct
    #2 True Shooting% - http://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/true-shooting-percentage

How are players NOT getting the ball in the right spots now?
What makes you believe that the offense needs to flow better?
How much better do you think this team is going to get with that "PG" given that we're a top 5 offense in terms of scoring and scoring efficiency?

Seriously, how do you justify changing the PG's on an offensive basis when the team is already a top 5 offense? Unless you're arguing that we need to replace Beverley with a stronger offensive combo guard?

It's not like Lin, AB and the Team aren't scoring efficiently...

The thing is, Paul Pierce and James Harden had very similar tendencies when it comes to ball domination and they won a championship.

Why do you guys keep saying that rondo and harden can't share the ball.

Rondo is a pass first PG, hes not looking to score

The offense we run has got everyone moving the ball and not one particular playmaker in fact there are times when the post players are used as passers to find the cutters.

The problem is once the ball movement stops, we have no real playmaker who can get the offense flowing again. You can't rely on a SG to put the offense back on track. The Kings game, Utah, game, Clippers game. Once teams collapse on Harden it's over. Look at last nights game once harden got injured game was lost. This team with an elite passer who not only will make Dwight more effecient but Harden and all the shooters. Harden won't be forced into so many ISO's and better shots in the shot clock.

Get Spencer Hawes who's a stretch 4 and a backup center.

More chatter backing up the theory that Morey is loathe to accept any player who's contract extends beyond next season. Thadeus Young to a third team, that team's player going to the Rockets, and Asik going to Philly. Well, now, wait a second. That means the third team would rather have Young than Asik. Doesn't that suggest the third team already has a quality center?

Makes sense, we have to leave some cap for the Parson's pay raise.
