When is a Starting Point Guard not a starting Point Guard?

This has been discussed a zillion times. Yes, Beverley can be an offensive liability, but on this starting unit, it does not matter. He is there for defense.

He's not there for offense. But on a night like tonight, we really needed him to provide something. He was out there for 30 minutes and was not impacting the game at all.

Some delusional Rox fans think Rox offense is so good and they can afford to play 4 on 5 on offense and play it all the way to championship.

But don't give me wrong. I am not here to diss Bev. He plays so hard all the time and every Rox should be playing like him.

The point is: he is not good enough to start. At least not now.

 

we DONT NEED a PG thats a scorer, the other 4 players on our starting 5 are very capable of scoring. We need defense. and thats his job. He's not out there to put up 15 points a game.

Like Chalmers, but the ROckets don't have Lebron James or Wade caliber players. The chemistry is off on the ROckets. and Beverley got lit up by Thomas. Your argument is getting weaker and weaker the more beverley plays. However, we will see if Beverley can start become more consistent defensively and offensively.
