Omer Asik Trade. Rumors, Tweets and Updates. (Deadline Dec 20th)

Truth. Some of this board really sleeps on Rondo. He would be our third star, he gives excellent def as a pg, and he would make all our players better on O. Our team now gets big leads early sometimes. That could be the norm w Rondo. If he makes Dwight good offensively then that's huge.

Two things. I don't know if they are trading him or if we have enough to get him. And that injury scares me a bit. I'm no concerned about attitude because I think he just wants to win and will be better on a good team.

 

I will say this about Rondo:

1. Rondo had the talent to be a top PG IF he wanted to. More times than not, he gave little effort or just plain lazy. How can he not be lazy when he played at elite level in defense in post seasons OR when the Celtics were televised lived on national TV?

2. Rondo, purposely or not, often let his man past him and tried to poke the ball out from behind. This happened a lot and it's NOT fundamental defense. It's lazy and gambling defense, just racking up his steal stats.

3. Rondo cheated the passing lanes by often turned his back to his man when the ball was not in their hands, trying to jump the lanes and steal the ball. If he missed, wide open shots for his man. If not, he racked up another steal. He did this way too often than it should.

Honestly, think of every Morey trade or signing he has pulled off. The majority of the time, there were no leaks beforehand. Usually just happens out of the blue. I really think Morey ends up trading Asik for a player we all maybe threw out there as a possibility, but didn't think much of it. Seems like everybody is set on Young/Hawes/Turner. Bet Morey sends him out West.

 

The Bobcats rejected the two 1st round picks offer for Asik.I doubt he trades Asik to the Thunder unless they give us Ibaka which wont happen. Suns love Plumlee and are going to develop him.Miami wont give us Bosh so that's a no go.

It's between Millsap and Hawes. Hawes gives us instant help, but he also gives us cap reliefe at the seasons end if trade Lin for another expiring contract, that gives us enough capspace to go after a big name.

 

Rockets are going to trade away the players they get in this trade again on Feb 19th, so that is the real plan buy Morey.

 

He was cut by Roxs but they left the door open for him to possibly come back after his foot healed.

 

Yes, but in those cases he traded players when nobody was expecting it and had no time to analyze possibilities and team needs.

This time is different. We know Asik is getting traded, and we know what the team lacks and who is available at this very moment.

Completely different situations.

 

Lin, asik, and brooks/Canaan to Atlanta for milsap, Williams , and schroder.

We essentially get a shoot first point next to harden at the lineup or have come off the bench as 6 man while developing schroder. Depending on of jones will continue to start, milsap will come off the bench for jones and parsons.

Bench: Williams, Garcia, casspi, milsap, smith/motie

 

Schroder is a pass first pg are you dumb?
