I think the Nets and the Knicks are the only teams dumb enough to want to trade for Gasol. The guys old and should be in no young teams plans.
So Kobe does nothing on D, gets faked out by Kembla then goes off at Pau? I can see free agents lining up to play with this guy...
Lakers interested in Iman Shumpert, Tyson Chandler Los Angeles Lakers superstar shooting guard Kobe Bryant just returned to action, but that hasn't stopped the team from inquiring about other backcourt players. The Lakers recently called the Knicks to express their interest in Iman Shumpert, according to sources close to the situation. No trade is imminent, and sources say the Lakers' call was more about doing their due diligence; it's well-known Shumpert is available. The Lakers are unlikely to make a deal before the end of their current four-game trip, which concludes Tuesday night in Memphis. ... Shumpert is struggling through a disappointing season, and the Knicks have discussed trades involving him with several other teams, including the Denver Nuggets and Toronto Raptors. Sources say the Lakers also are interested in another Knicks player -- center Tyson Chandler. The Lakers did not inquire about Chandler when they called about Shumpert, but they are weighing whether to propose a Pau Gasol-for-Chandler trade, according to sources. The Knicks are not looking to move Chandler -- several teams have contacted them about him, sources said -- but if a club agreed to take back struggling guard J.R. Smith, the Knicks would consider such a deal. With Smith having signed a three-year, $18 million contract this past summer, the Lakers aren't likely to be interested in him.
D'antoni is really unprofessional, I want McHale to call out Harden or Howard as much as the next guy at times, but I'm glad he doesn't. This is how a team starts to fall apart, when a coach starts to behave this way. Gasol definitely not our target, so I hope...
How was that Pau's fault? A stretch 4 at 7 feet cannot keep up with a PG like Kemba...Kobe should have hacked that **** out of his hands...he was much closer....why is Kobe screaming at him?
Pau turned it over 2 times in a row and they were really dumb turnovers. He's been playing like a puss for the past 2-3 games, crying about the offense. I don't approve of the way Kobe talked to him but Pau certainly needs to stop moaping around on the court and play the way he's accustomed to playing.
Pau is older, slower...and all finesse at this point in his career...but he plays best in a half court/triangle set...he cannot at this point in his career get back on defense like a 2 or a 3 could....it just ain't happening...this guy still has some game left in him and deserves to be on a team that can utilize whatever skills he has left...
I don't see Lakers puling off any trades for Pau with the Knicks. They're delusional if they think Knicks will trade Tyson or Shumpert for Pau. Lakers don't have any assets that anyone would want besides Pau's expiring contract, but no one wants him that badly.
Kobe had 8 turn overs....24 in the last 3 4 games and he is b****ing to Pau about sloppy handles? Somebody needs to slap this shot jacker in his mouth.....only reason the Lakers won last night was because the REFS bailed them out like they always do when the Lakers are about to go in the tank....
Just seems weird that a week after Kobe returns, locker room chemostry sucks again. Maybe just coincidence.
First Steve Blake getting mad about Kobe returning and now Gasol getting blamed once again even getting torched by D'Antoni. I think most NBA players watch and read how the Lakers are and think they're not a team to play with
