Just noticed that both Hawes and Turner are on expiring contracts. That makes a trade with them the best out there.

Deng would certainly bolster our defense; and make us legit contenders this year. Parsons, Lin, Harden, Deng, Howard and complimentary pieces = championship.

Greg Monroe, i'll throw in a pick/dmo for him, this kid get talents, and he is very young. He can be a very good backup 5 and 4 (the role we want asik to be)

Agreed, the only team that scares me in the west is the clippers. Z-Bo alone dominates Blake.

Shumpert please, you take care of the 2/3 position and give him time at both as a backup. Can hit the open shot and plays D, D I said, D, DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!

I don't think New York is interested in giving him away or trading for Asik. I could warm up to the Spencer Hawes idea and the bullseye shot he has. Oh, he blocks shots too, bonus!

I think a Asik trade is going to be a 3 or 4 team deal, Morey earns his money.

Nice, but Turner starts over Parsons.

This is a great example of Morey getting value that other GM's miss. We traded Lowry for a draft pick that was considered so valuable that we flipped it in part for James Harden, while the best the Raptors can hope to get the same player is a low first rounder.

Hard to imagine the Pistons would be willing to give up Greg Monroe, but he's certainly the most intriguing name on that list. Capable of playing the 4 or 5. No 3pt shot, but has a good mid-range stroke. Shoots FTs well for a big. Great rebounder. Still only 23 years old. I'd love to have a Howard-Jones-Monroe rotation in the front court.

However, with Asik being the piece we have to trade, and Drummond being making the 5 the least of their needs, a trade between us seems unlikely at best.

Honestly there's no one on that list I wouldn't be pleased to add.

Randolph is interesting and the Griz window is closed this year and is closing in the future. You'd need a third team to move Asik but there are so many possibilitie here:

    Rockets: Randolph, Deng
    Hawks: Asik
    Grizzlies: Milsap and a pick
    Bulls: DMo and Lin

    Bev/AB
    Harden/Garcia
    Parsons/Deng
    Randolph/Jones
    Howard/Smith

Oh Morey you devilish rogue you must be salivating right now!

Am i crazy would you like Waiters + Varejao for Omer Asik, this would solidify our bench with a 6th man, can spell Harden if he is not hitting.

Y'all are delusional if you think we'll get Turner AND Hawes for Asik. One or the other would be all we'd get.

I think the best move would be for Hawes and Turner. The problem is you would have to throw fillers and draft picks in to get both of those guys. A Monroe trade would be even tougher because he is only making 4 million to Asik's 8 million. You would have to throw in a guy like Stuckey just to make the contracts work....probably not gonna happen.

    PER Wise:
Turner and Hawes for Asik and D-Mo gets us +7 wins
Varejao and Waiters for Asik and D-Mo gets us +4 wins
Monroe and Stuckey(just threw him in there) for Asik and D-Mo gets +7 wins
Deng for Asik and D-Mo gets us -2 wins...PASS
I think the two best realistic options would be Turner and Hawes or Waiters and Varejao. Would love to get Monroe and Stuckey but just don't think it is realistic at all.

Don't underestimate Hinkie's desire of getting his guys.
