Good win last night, good to see Harden come in and close out the game with his playmaking. Beverly was also clutch, love how his hustle always helps create about 3 or 4 extra possessions for the team. Got killed on the boards (especially when Dwight was out). Too bad Camby got hurt preseason because he would be nice to have right now with Asik being a poon. When Asik is dealt the team absolutely needs a backup 5 coming back in return.

Happy with the split on the back to back anyone expecting them to sweep it has too high of expectations at this point of the season.

I would also like to thank the last 5 or 6 pages for helping increase my ignore list by about 15 posters.

That was not much of a push. Harden's hand waved off Lin and bounced Lin back. Lin probably tried to say something like "calm down bla bla bla". Seriously, it was clearly from last night's game (and the game before) that Harden did not want to or look to pass the ball to Lin. Every time, Lin brought the ball up, Harden immediately called for it. Lin then slided to the corner and waited for possible open three. Is this how Lin is going to be used with average 8 mil salary? I was convinced that Lin and Harden cannot coexisted well in most of the time. I think we can start to think that Lin 6th man approach may not work after all.

Like Melo, Harden has the ego and will continue to jack up shoots even if he is 0-20. Credited to McHale to try to create some separation.
However, Rockets really do not have a true second unit time. The
three guard rotation (Lin, Harden, Bev) calls for Lin to be the off-guard most of the time. Lin is far less effective as an off-guard. His confident is also starting to shake. Lin is now a true bench player (not 6th man) based on the
last two games. 20 min playing time and not many touches. Package Lin and Asik out now is the only solution before the ultimate ugly thing happen:

30 mil UN-motivated players sit in the bench and taking out the cap space.

ship both out and then re-sign Parsons with a 4yr/40 mil deal.

what play are you even talking about at the end of the 4th?

    there was no such possession

Lin came in when Bev fouled out, at 43 seconds left.

    howard got fouled, hit both.

lin brought the ball down, got fouled, hit 1 of 2 (curry fouled out)

thompson hit a three, ball inbounded to Jeremy, gets fouled, hits both.

barnes hits a putback, ball inbounded to Harden and fouled, hits both.

    game over.

    your argument is invalid.

He's right. I saw that push. It was a more, go to the other end of the court, I'm bringing the ball up. I think it was when Lin played good D on Curry, but he scored anyway. Maybe not that exact play but it did happen

Harden is guilty....but this thing happens so often on this Houston team...not just with Harden (everyone wants to play point guard). Harden is the GUY so he's going to do what he wants to do...the only thing is that if it ends up in a loss he needs to man up and not jet out earlier or say this "we" bs. This Rockets team will only go as far as Harden's iso plays....but this happens to almost every team with a max player.

    Hahaha...

I think to big of a deal is being made of this... In a 5 man team sport things can get heated. And the way Jeremy was playing he didn't need to have the ball anyway.

If people think about it Melo/Lin is different than Harden/Lin.....Harden/Lin pretty much plays the same position. Lin is way more suited playing with Melo......

Why can't Lin fans just go to jeremylin.net if they want to trash Rocket players every single time around the Rockets win.

I don't think I've written much except for tweets and headline summaries of games, but that's not true. In the podcast Bima and I did a few weeks ago, we both were very complimentary of Lin.

Here are some things I can remember off the top of my head that I tweeted:

    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>In the 5 games he has played for the <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Rockets&amp;src=hash">#Rockets</a> w/o James Harden, Jeremy Lin is averaging 24.0 points on 47.4% FG (17-29 3P) and 8.0 assists.</p>&mdash; ClutchFans (@clutchfans) <a href="https://twitter.com/clutchfans/statuses/400824492143804417">November 14, 2013</a></blockquote>
    <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Jeremy Lin reeeeally feeling it -- he hits his 5th three-pointer, now has 19 points.</p>&mdash; ClutchFans (@clutchfans) <a href="https://twitter.com/clutchfans/statuses/400798025557098496">November 14, 2013</a></blockquote>
    <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Jeremy Lin is now 7-9 from long range! He gets fouled on his 7th, goes to the line for a 4-point play opp.</p>&mdash; ClutchFans (@clutchfans) <a href="https://twitter.com/clutchfans/statuses/400799426710474752">November 14, 2013</a></blockquote>

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Jeremy Lin just blew past Paul on a drive out of a halfcourt set. He's got 6 points, 6 assists. These are all positive posts because they happened. Last night, Beverley happened. He played very well on both ends of the floor. All I know to do -- and have ever done -- is call it as I see it.

I find Lin fans who react as you do to actually be the "biased" ones. You want us to not praise Beverley because it's offensive to Lin, which is absurd. Jeremy Lin doesn't even enter my mind when I say, "Big shot by Beverley!"

So the question isn't "Why do you hate Jeremy Lin?" in some effort to discredit what you read. It's "Why would you think I hate Jeremy Lin because I praised Beverley on a night he clearly played well?"

I haven't found logic and fact to be a valid argument tool on this board lately.

Maybe if you just created a separate Lin forum that might appease the masses. Would be interesting to see the impact on the GARM - but I suspect the bleed over would be nasty.

Well you're not one and it was a legit question because people go on and on and on about Beverley and Lin until somebody speaks up about it. If that didn't occur, some of us would be happy to talk of Dwight's free throws or Parsons good game. But it is the stick it in to the Lin fans comments mostly when Bev does something positive that provokes the stupid exchanges about Bev and Lin rather than just seeing a Rocket guard step it up nicely to be instrumental in a team's win.

Exactly... Melo needs Lin IMO... A point guard that can get him the ball since all he wants to do is shoot. And Lin's numbers were pretty good playing with Melo before he got hurt. They needed time to gel. They could probably be the #3 seed in the east right now.

People forget the only reason D'Antoni played Lin was because Melo kept bugging him to. He should have stayed in NYC but I'm sure the money was hard to resist. But his role as a 6th man could be well served for the time being for the Rockets. Especially if he gets back to playing like he was before he got hurt.

Why do supposed Rox fans keep bringing up Melo, Tyson Chandler, Shumpert, D'Antoni and Novak?

I don't think you dislike him personally. I don't think you are as high on his game and strong points compared to other Rockets players. Some other players maybe you find their strong points more important to the Rockets team. And you may be right. Anyone asking if you hate Jeremy is out of line and way extreme. But I think there's nothing wrong in what you're saying. I think the poster was asking if when Lin has a huge game do you post that man, he made a real difference tonight the way you did for Beverley in a post. But, to be honest, you don't really post that much and Beverley did have a great night and deserved the comment you gave him. I would love to see you do that for others too, TJ, Lin, whoever, but that's up to you of course.

Clutch I am not a Lin fan, I was asking why you dont take up for him like you do Bevereley. A lot of fans on here has constantly bashed Lin even when he plays good basketball and I havent seen you come to his rescue.

Yes Beverley played a damn good game last night on both ends of the court. And like you, I will give him and everybody else on this team their just do when they play good to great basketball.

I never ever said you hate Lin, there you go putting word in my mouth or on this blog. Was only asking why you dont take up for him when jokers bash him after a good game.
