LOL staying in the past? Lin has been great for us this year, and is just coming off a 2 week injury. Bev was amazing tonight, played a complete game. Last night, he wasn't there on both sides, had airballs on his floaters in critical minutes.

The point is, there is no need to bash one player when one has a bad game and the other has a good game. This is a team, cheer for the team...people who knee jerk constantly gets pretty tiring. Where was this love for Bev last night? It was non-existent.

It's ok to applaud Bev, but why do you have to put down another Rocket in the process? That's not what I'm okay with.

Lol I love how people use each game to prove that they're right or wrong. Why can't we just enjoy this great win and Beverley's great game.

    it is sad.
it's like a bunch of middle school girls, ready to bully anyone not meeting their criteria.
clutch buckets by bev and clutch free throws by lin.

would love to see how you armchair pros would do.

Trading Lin is the only thing that will fix this. The Lin Fan/ LOH war will never end until Lin is on another team.

every dog will have its day. bev played a good game. doesn't change the fact he is the worst pg in nba period. time is a b****, will tell you more, good or bad. like i mentioned before, he should give at least half of his wage to harden. if you compare his ast number to harden's. again, with bev, let see how far can we go. don't you worry about Lin, that kid is fine. he's been in the same situation before, and he will do it again.

just happy to see a rockets win.

Bev is NOT the worst PG is the league period. Yes, we can certainly upgrade but he's by no means trash

There are no Lin Only Haters here. There are Rockets fans who prefer Beverly over Lin. There are Rockets fans who prefer Lin over Beverly. And there are those who only wish to see Lin continue to relive Linsanity regardless of how it effects the team he is playing for.

Lin Only Haters imply that someone is on here for the sole purpose to hate on Lin. Just as Lin Only Fan implies someone is here to only cheer for Jeremy. Most animosity generated towards the Lin Only Fan is just that. Directed towards the fan. Rockets fans and posters on here have been critical of every player ever to wear the Rockets uniform. Even guys like Dream and Sampson.

I like Lin, and wish him well when he enters the game. I also understand why he is not the starting point guard even though he is hands down a better play-maker than Beverly. I think he is rusty from the injury and his speed is nowhere near where it needs to be. I'm not too worried about him. He'll be fine as he gets back into game shape...

or better solution: We keep Lin as a 25-30 min sixth man, and Lofs stop complaining about literally everything and there is no war

Lin was dynamite up until the leg injury that kept him out for two weeks, and consistently made plays and kept the offense flowing. He wasn't a stud defender, but Lin is hardly Jose Calderon.

Credit where credit is due - Bev played a great game and made timely shots. He also provided several stops when we needed them. He provides a grittiness and defensive intensity in spurts that is vital to a competitive team. Still, Bev is shooting sub 40%, and really only spots up or scores off of broken plays. In this era of basketball, consistently stopping an elite guard is all about team defense. A one-dimensional "wing stopper" is a huge liability and one of the most overrated concept in basketball.

You know what is truly valued in modern basketball? Playmakers who can break down tight coverage. We're not trying to beat the Dallas Mavericks and Atlanta Hawks of the world; we're trying to take down the Heat, Pacers, Spurs, Thunder, etc... Do you think Bev alone can do it? When Lebron and Wade smother Harden and Parsons, can Bev take advantage of Mario Chalmers?

The point is that Lin and Bev make a great tandem. We need them both.

Everybody needs to take a deep breath, haha.

That's never going to happen. Besides Lin is only averaging 16 minutes since he got back. My guess it's probably gonna avg out to 18 minutes going forward. Rockets don't need to pay him 15 million for that. Just trade him. It's best for everybody.

He's coming back from injury dude. Once he gets his knees going again and starts playing well, you think McHale or Sampson is going to limit his minutes? He was averaging 25-30 before his injury

this is the sole reason i support trading lin. If we payed him closer to the price of bev and brooks, i would be vouching to keep him on the steam.

but for 15 million? it's better for us as a team to trade him. Lin is the most expensive backup in the NBA.

I garuntee you that the Lakers will give you Gasol and Blake or Farmar for Asik and Lin.

It's a good deal. Dantoni is as contemptuous of Pau as Mchale and Sampson are of Lin. Gasol is Mchale kind of player and Lin is the perfect PG for Dantoni.

It's a good deal. And trust me there will be no GOF
