Asik + Lin for Melo... I think Melo-Dwight-Harden will work. We've seen Melo willing to share the ball if he respect enough the other players with him, e.g., Olympics.

Al Jefferson isn't a true center (not in my eyes) and Asik actually plays defense. Zeller can learn offense from Jefferson and Defense from Asik. Win win for both sides.

I'm thinking either Charlotte or Cleveland.

Millsap. Two way player that can play the 3 or 4. Contract matches with Asik. Asik fits with ATL. There will be plenty of minutes to go around between Parsons, Millsap and TJones.

I predict that when the trade happens and the "do you like the Asik trade" poll pops up that more than 50% of people will dislike the trade and there will be plenty of complaining.

I also predict that once again Morey will make all his doubters look foolish for questioning what he gets in return for Asik.

It'd have to be separate trades. Can't package a TPE with a player, if I'm not mistaken.

While you're allowed to break it down into smaller trades to net a better end result, the trade needs to work as a single nuclear trade within the CBA (it's why the s&t tucked into that celtics/nets trade had to be of a certain value), the NBA wouldn't allow the 'Boston in' to happen.

For example, if you're acquiring $18m in players, you need to be sending out at least $13m, they will not let you break down and send $6m for $9m twice to the same team.

I would halfheartedly put my chips in this basket. Something like Asik for Lee (who is really useless to a rebuilding team, but would be fantastic as our perimeter defender here, allowing us to cut Brewer) and Jeff Green, maybe a 2nd rounder or lotto-protected first in the distant future thrown in there.

But let's be honest. Everybody knows that Paul Millsap is the most likely trade piece. Otherwise why wait until Dec 15?
