The maturity is not there yet with Howard...he should attempt to block Aldridge instead of wasting his time jawing with Parsons.
Well, I don't think he is an optimal fit, but he is a great championship caliber player who is on a very team friendly contract. I think Harden's usage rate would suffer and that there would be some conflict next to Harden, but that, as Simmons says, you always trade four quarters for a dollar in an NBA trade. The team overall would be better for such a trade, both on the court and assets wise. I bet it happens because Boston might want to move him, and Waiters (young cheap talent with upside), Varejo (large semi-expiring contract that can help now and as a trade chip) and Lin (Another young upside player with a relatively short deal, who can also help now and sell seats) all perfectly match what I think Boston is looking to do. And Asik and Lee (who Boston wants to move BTW) would really fit roles Cleveland needs filled, especially as they desperately want to make the playoffs this season (plus they want to trade Waiters).
This one was all on Chandler. He looked and played like a complete crap all night. Must be the back spasms slowing him down but he needs to get the heck out of Dwight's way when he is sure that the big man has secured the rebound. Instead he wrestles with him to get one in the books. What a boneheaded play on his part and that happened to rob Dwight of his 18 board night that he was trying to accomplish.
Should have Howard completely stopped playing? No Should Parsons have gone after that board? No This one is on both of them. Parson's is behind Howard and can clearly see that he is in position to get the rebound. There is no reason for Parsons to come flying in to attempt the rebound. Having said that, Howard should have hustled and at least contested the shot and not made such a big deal. I can understand Howard's frustration on that one, but his maturity level has to step up in time.
howard did this quite often in LA... so many of the criticisms i see ppl post here regarding him are so familiar... lol He played great, and is a great player, but there is definitely an attitude problem on his part. This is your team now howard, take responsibility for it.
Not really, Asik would have been upset if Parsons had tried to steal his rebound as well. Happened several times last year.
No kidding. Was it one of our best moments on the court last night? Of course not, but that's all it was... in the heat of the moment. I was more worried about Aldridge looking All World and going off on the Rocks like a madman. No one could guard him. That worried me. We have to shrug off the loss and pull out a win tonight. That and hope for better defense at the 4 spot.
no doubt. But Parsons taking the rebound isn't the problem; dwight getting mad at him isn't the problem either; the problem is that he let his emotions get the better of him, costing the TEAM points. You just can't have that in your leadership, which is why I've always felt iffy about calling corn-rolls Melo a leader. You wanna finger point, fine, but don't throw the entire team under the bus just to show your discontent. But again, this guy is 28/9?
You guys are missing the point. Teammates fighting for rebound happens. Unfortunate but no big deal. The point is after that Howard just stopped playing and let the other team grabbed the rebound the scored right in front of him. I'm with OP on this one. A WTF moment.
Did you not see that CP did the exact same thing..stop trying to make it a big deal...it was done with and both players moved on after that. people need to quit b****ing about every little thing
dwight had the reb...and parsons saw him and tried to knock it out...wtf was chandler on last night...he had no chance at that rebound
CP was bumped further away to the baseline. Howard was right next to LMA, but he was "staring" at CP and not even paying attention to LMA.
so? the point is CP did the exact same thing. its over and done with. move on. btw that bump came from his own teammate that he collided into.
CP blocked his man so DH should get this rebound. But no one even try to block LA after this play is annoying. This play is a game changing play. We lose all the momentum since then.
