ive heard that he doesnt get the buyout if he quits... so obviously the smarter thing would be to get bought out by being "fired"
maybe not from the way his contract is structured. but they want him to quit, and they will definitely take care of him for doing so. (probably give him a little more than what he would get if he was actually fired).
If he gets fired his contract states he is paid 2.75 mil. There are rumors that if retires UT is prepared to pay him 4 mil upfront and then 1.3 mil a year until 2020.
I just saw a plane flying by out the window. I couldn't see if Saban was aboard or not. So let's say "Sources say unconfirmed reports of Saban not being aboard plane" - and draw your own conclusions.
