I'm kind of surprised to see Cisco is shooting 34% from deep, because it kind of feels like he's shooting about 5%.

More than anything, the Asik situation needs to get resolved QUICKLY. Not having him in the second unit has destroyed the spacing and chemistry of the bench, and it's causing guys like Casspi and Garcia to take contested jumpers. Those two live off the spot-up jumper, and without a true big man to suck in the defense, the perimeter is basically shut down. If things continue like this, we're going to have to play Dwight 40+ minutes a night just to ensure we have a post-presence in the game at all times.

    Is he still hurt?

If he's not doing well, maybe we should play Lin as Harden's backup more and give Brooks some burn. I want to see how Lin and Brooks play together.

Didnt' he start out on fire then go cold?

He's in a slump, it happens.

Agreed. The Lin-Beverly-Casspi-Garcia-Jones line up last night had zero fire power.

Man I feel ya. He's all or nothing. Some games he's burning up the net from Pasadena, other games he can't a thing.

because the Rockets offensive system is broken. The team are not running. The open 3 point shooting is gone.

Guys like Garcia-- spot up shooters who don't play many minutes or take many shots per game-- are pretty much always going to run hot and cold and are likely to have slumps spanning several games. The small and homogeneous sample size of a few shots per game, mostly 3s, are going to do that to a guy's shooting numbers.

Given Garcia's past performance, age and salary, one really should know that there is a high risk that he won't look like he did vs. OKC on a season-long basis.

Not playing many minutes? He is the Number 1 guy behind Harden. If Haren is hurt, he is starting.

    Or in fact Chandler

This is the "real" Garcia. He was terrible prior to being a Rocket.

yep. he was basically playing for an extension in last year's playoffs, and omni casspi is pretty much usless if he's not knocking down his wide open three. pretty soon clutchfans is gonna start calling him Omri Crapsi if he continues to play like this

Casspi has been more consistent than Garcia over 24 games

    Both shoot well right now.

That's weird, basketball reference has his net rating as 1. I wonder what the difference is.

Looked at some other ratings. Apparently nba.com and basketball reference are using different formulas for off and def rating.

He's attempting fewer threes per game, and favoring the drive the past several games... So, that 34% is actually worse than it looks...

He's had 2 good stretches this season. At the beginning and about a week or so after that Memphis game. Maybe a quarter of the season which is not good enough to warrant the playing time.
