Clutch hardly even gets involved in petty stuff like that but yet they are dragging him in it...

Rondo would basically be relegated to the same position Lin is in now. The only difference is that he'll pull an Asik and demand a trade.

and some of you grossly overrate Beverly. Beverly is NOT starting material. simply saying he is is overrating him. look at his averages this year so far. BOF then try to compensate his horrible numbers by saying he's supposedly a better defender and a better spot of shooter despite the FACT that our team as a whole play better defense with Lin over Beverly (we allow our opponents only a eFGA of .398 with Lin versus .415 with Beverly in the same lineup) AND Lin is averaging a higher % from the 3 than Beverly.

all of you are blinded by Beverly's so called "aggressive" playing style and you overlooked the fact that Beverly is not a smart player and is a poor team defender.

Lin is soft and Beverly deserves to start because he's a better point guard.

You sir, have earned at least a beer and a shot if I ever see you at a game. Clutch City cheered for the team. Every player. Every basket. Every block. No agenda, no "OF"s. Those nights on Richmond and Westheimer were glorious.

Can you imagine the hate on Mario or Sam if they were on this team now?

Calling Bev a point guard is an insult to real point guards. Your actual PG got benched for being a real PG.

To be clear neither of them are starting PG caliber on a contender. They balance each other out in their roles but they both have holes in their game. You seems to have an issue with roles but the fact is what Bev brings to the starters and what Lin brings to the bench brigade are what's best for the team.

You would be surprised. Writers incorrectly misinterpret or use the wrong data ALL the time.

I've seen writer after writer get things like Cap numbers, CBA rules, use inappropriate stats, small sample sizes, and simply wrong calculations.

If you don't want to quote the article, quote the data and data source. Or extract the data yourself and link your source for the data. Any statement of fact that relies upon a data set should be subject to scrutiny if you're going to use it as part of an argument.

Given we've only played 20 games, I would *especially* want to see upon what set of data those claims are based.

not only is our team better as a whole with Lin, Lin is better than Beverly in every, possible statistical way...except for TOs  But Lin's superiority in every other statistical category more than makes up for that:

The ball is never in Lin'd hands. Harden runs the point and Beverly runs the point when Harden sits. What part of that don't you get or are not willing to admit.

Look I'm all for trading Lin and starting Bev. But the bull excuses and pretexts have to go. Lin is the back up shooting guard period.

He does not play 6th man
He does not play point guard.

Stop with the lies and obfuscations and just let's put it out there. Lin is on the bench for Harden and to lesser extent parson's sake. Nothing wrong with that. But let's call it what it is. This whole " the second unit needs him" is pure BS, there is no "2nd". The starters are always the floor with a fee spot substitutions here and there.

There is only one PG in Houston, that is, Harden, the great SG/PG. Period.

Bev is to supplement Harden's D

    and

Lin to Bench because we don't need two PGs on the court

I think Bev is going to be the starter despite how well or how bad he plays. He is clearly not there for offensive reasons as his shot selections are awful, he defense is not exactly impressive but his intangibles are (rebound to keep possession alive, toughtness). Lin on the other hand.... well it sure seems like he doesnt have a role on this team, if you watch the game last night you will notice that he didn't get a lot of touches. Seems like he is on his way out if not why would the Rockets pay some1 15mil to play 15 mins a game?
