Yes, but compare that with the shot chart from the previous season. There's a lot more yellow in that than there is this year.

Additionally, look at the shot distribution: in 12-13 he had a much higher fraction from the perimeter than he did inside the 3pt line. This year? More shots inside. It indicates that the problem is him doing too much more than just 3pt shooting. That's not what we need from him this season. We signed him just for the high 3pt%. We don't need him to score in the paint.

The solution is pretty clear to me: get another more versatile SF and have Garcia return to only 3pt shooting. He'll get more reps in and his cold streak can be stopped that way. He may not be pleased with a reduced role, but that is that is the role he is best in: lots of 3's and spot minutes of defense from the bench.

We really need a Delfino type player back. Signing Casspi was certainly a move in the right direction, but we need one more downtown shooter, (one that cannot be substituted into the PF position).

He's been awful. Sucks cause we need him to have an effective bench.

Best thing all this is, he is on a vet contract. Hopefully morey can swing for the fences and snatch turner and hawes from the 76ers and fill all our woes, or someone else that is more consistent and talented. Garcia is only playing because we have no other choice at the moment.

do we need him in the rotation at all. with Lin, Casspi, D-Mo and AB, our 9 man rotation should be set. granted D-Mo picks up 3 fouls in 2 minutes, but throw in there whoever we get in the Asik trade.

garcia is another rocket not playing within himself. he's had a couple decent drives to the basket, but he really needs to park himself in the corner and wait for open 3s. and if he's not hitting them at a decent rate, he needs to park himself on the bench. how does Garcia play more minutes than Lin and Casspi? good job Sampson!

He's a veteran on a vet min contract. If someone better steps up than it wouldn't be an issue at all putting Garcia towards the end of the bench, or waiving him if they needed a roster spot in a trade scenario (although I like him being on the team either way... good solid locker room vet).

Covington could get called up any time, or they could elect to waive Brewer and sign Troy Daniels here pretty soon.... who can shoot LIGHTS OUT from 3. Might be the best player in the D-League right now.

I am more than fine with one of these guys challenging Garcia for minutes, and Brewer.... sorry buddy, I think your career is just about over-with. Good signing 5 years ago.

Point blank, if he can't hit the 3, he's no use to us. This includes Casspi, because he's getting honey nut roasted at the stretch 4 spot.

He's been as good as he's going to be. This is who he is now.

The ball got sticky this game. Role players need their touches too, not last minute passes.

He played really well in the playoffs last year. Not sure what's up with him so far this season. You couldn't really question the signing after his playoff performance.

He has always been a below average player who had one good playoff series against OKC. You don't ride the pine for a lottery team like the Kings if you were any good. He is vastly over-rated because of that one playoff series

Cisco is a veteran, he doesn't need to show up until after the All-Star break. This is why we need a legitimate back-up player to Harden, i.e, Evan Turner or Waiters.

We need someone younger who can handle the minutes.

Yeah but look at the volume of his inside shots besides layups. Very low. I have no problem with him shooting layups at 70%. He is still shooting from the 3 point line, he just isn't making them. He will start making them more, and then he will get praise again.

He is shooting 34% from 3 this season on 4.5 attempts.
Career average is 36% on 3 attempts.
Playoffs last year he shot 46% on 6.2 attempts (not sustainable).

I think it is reasonable to expect 37% on 4.5 attempts, which would mean the Rockets score 0.4 more points per game.

I cling to the memory of how he stepped his game up in the playoffs last year, and the hope he can get back to that level.

Francisco played better with Omer because Omer set great screens for him to get free. Omer is also an underrated passer out of the post and Francisco would benefit from that.
