Lin - Run offense/ Pnr/ occasional ISO
Harden - Spot up shooting/ playing within offense/ Occasional ISO
Howard- pnr/ points off putbacks and alleys / occasional postup

I think these 3 players would be all the more effective if they played to their strengths

Who gives a damn about pg rebounds?? Pg's are supposed to get assists and score buckets, not shoot airball layups.
Bev is perfect to come off the bench and add energy but as a starter he's terrible. 2 assists a game shooting under 40% from the field...seriously, thats awful

 

I will give Lin fans this though. Sampson does not like Lin.

 

I hope Sampson plays more than 8 tomorrow night against the Warriors. Need to go deep into the bench tomorrow in order to get the Win.

 

He doesn't need to be traded. He needs to be PLAYED correctly. He's a solid, very productive young player. What would you trade him for? He's young and improving. The coaches just need to step up. The talent is here and the chemistry needs to extend beyond 3 players.

 

Any other night but just not tonight....see the earlier game.:grin: But Clippers and Doc are a bit overrated to a degree....

 

Harden's decision making was terrible all game long. His indecisiveness in the pick and roll constantly led to turnovers. I hate the way he slows down the offense just to take a bad shot.

 

We played well, fought hard, treys weren't falling. We will be alright.

 

What happened to we can't lose with Parsons starting? That nonsense over quick. 8 man rotation went to no rotation. I hate Sampson hated him last year too

 

In a game where we kept gifting the Blazers with extra possessions, every rebound counts.

 

Yeah. If he isn't going to start then that's fifteen millin dollars we can use much more effectively on another player. He needs to go.

 

Parsons constantly forcing things didn't help either.

Our whole team aside from Dwight and Harden at times sucked. The end.

That is a horrible theory. If I am running a team I don't care who gets the rebounds as long as someone gets them. It isn't his job to be Chris Paul.

 

It's been one and a half seasons. lin is not going to earn their trust. Best to trade him for someone who will start and can actually produce.

 

The first half was pretty tight. I thought the team did well helping each other on defense. But start of 2nd half was messy. Portland adjusted their defense and was pressuring all the way up to halfcourt. Good to see Lin back, but he looked really rusty; I hope they didn’t rush his return. Portland threw their PnR at him constantly in the 3rd & 4th (such an advantage for them to have LMA play the PnR with). Houston’s poor PnR defense didn’t help either. Both Parsons & Harden were banged up out there. Their heavy minutes aren’t helping. Howard had a nice game against Lopez.

I liked this game. Portland looks really good. LMA in their 4spot is so potent for their team. I think the Blazers are more primed right now for the playoffs than Houston is. At the beginning of the season I thought the 4spot would give Houston ongoing problems. TJones is doing well so far in his role, but I don’t think he’s quite there yet. The top teams in the west all have really good players in that starting position. I’m anxious to see what Morey does with the upcoming Asik maneuvering.

 

What are you talking about the offense was terrible when harden and Howard weren't in the game.

 

Nah, Jeremy's back from an injury. He shouldn't play too many minutes. Sampson is doing Jeremy a favor.
