It is a long season. You can't dwell too much on any single game. Fans would go nuts and players need to have short memories for the next game.

Look, as long as we finish in the top 6 in the conference we will be OK (Historically, Houston does not do well with home court advantage, even when we had Hakeem).

Come playoff time, nobody will want to play us.

 

Rox lost to a team that came better prepared. Some of the starters just didn't have some of their usual shots go in thats all. People here act like the Rockets were supposed to go 82-0, in the western conference. Lol. You have to be a bit more realistic and not get so upset with a loss.

Some supporters some of you are.

 

BEV had the best +/- tonight with awesome efficiency so all you Lin fans just SHUT IT!

All I saw was Bev getting caught in screen after screen and Lillard just missing wide open easy shots.

 

You have to give credit where credit is due....how many players do you see getting 31/25? The guy is good and if Portland continues this path he's a big part of it.

 

Still more legit MVP candidate than either Harden or Howard.

 

The only complaints I have really is I don't think Sampson knows what he's doing. We literally came out of all of our timeouts doing nothing but letting our opponents get open shots.

And the rotations and minute distribution was cringe worthy.

 

Weren't the Nets interested in Sampson? :grin:

Lin is not even running the offense at that time.
Most are from Beverley. And we got 0 points.
I don't get why sampson run the team like this.

Beverley is a really good 1 on 1 defender but never the play maker

 

Sampson came in with the plan of just playing the starters he wanted to win so bad while McHale is gone cuz this will go on his resume to become a head coach next year. Casspi and Lin have been very productive off the bench hard to do in 15 minutes

 

Look at all the ignorance here. LMA goes to town on us, Jones gets in foul trouble guarding him, Casspi can't guard LMA and we have no one else in PF who can defend.

Must be Lin's faulty defense and Bevs airballs. Yup, that's gotta be the problem.

Asik for Young doesn't sound too bad all of a sudden now does it?

 

Not on this team, you saw what Bev did on the offensive end. And Lin defends Lillard pretty well the last 2 meetings, if he was healthy should've just stuck with him, you needed more buckets down the stretch. And Lin wouldnt D up LMA anyway who couldnt be stopped.

 

Sampson is trying to kill everyone.

Played just 8 guys and of those that subbed none of them played meaningful minutes.

Some fans watch box scores more than they actually watched the game.

It's called momentum has shifted.

They dont get all the blame but you cant tell me they don't get sny.

 

How do you blame the bench? They hardly played. Because of the 10-0 run? The starters gave up a 11-0 run in the 3rd. It's a game of runs. They looked disjointed on offense and really erratic on defense in the 2nd half. Sampson should've used timeouts better and his rotations sucked.
