    From Houston:

A source said Rockets center Omer Asik, who just switched agents to power broker Arn Tellem, is "going to be moved really soon."

Two sources said "it makes a lot of sense" for Asik to be traded to the Atlanta Hawks for power forward Paul Millsap. In that scenario, Asik would slip into the starting center position in Atlanta alongside Al Horford, and Millsap would become the starting power forward in Houston next to Dwight Howard.

One NBA scout said the trade would be more beneficial to the Rockets.

"Asik is a liability for Atlanta," the scout said. "I think he's a talented rebounder and a pretty good basketball player all around, but Atlanta needs better point guard play besides Jeff Teague."

I really hope we trade for picks / backup center or pf, unless its k love or aldridge... im really liking T jones in the 4 spot and dont want to demotivate him by trading for someone to take his spot when he is playing so well.

From BleacherReport's newest hire Jared Zwerling, formerly of ESPNNY.

But Asik-for-Milsap/Asik-to-Atlanta really isn't new or news.

I think Zach Lowe said that an Asik/Millsap trade would probably be kinda dicey because both teams are smart and would want the other team to sweeten the pot. I pretty much agree with that, but I'd still be really happy with Asik for Millsap straight up.

Bleacher Report is actually starting to hire qualified writers now (think Howard Beck is writing for them now), but this writer is pretty green. Not sure I buy into this as mere speculation or actual sourced speculation.

either way.... looks like pure speculation.

This would be awesome news before Terrence Jones started beasting.

Now it kind of doesn't fit as well.

Tough choices Morey has to make.

It looks like we'll probably have to part with one of our point guards, which is most likely Lin.

No way Morey would trade Asik AND Lin for Millsap. Maybe with their 1st rounder.

I look at the actual writer.

They've got some legitimate Star writers on the payroll now since it's being pushed by the NBA.

I ignore the guys without a real track record.

Lin and Asik for Milsap, Korver and their first rounder will be fine by me.

Not trying to rip this apart, but Zwerling is not really telling us something we didn't know. December 15th to the 19th is "really soon."

The Atlanta part seems like speculation we've all made.
