You must be one of the 15 people still watching PMSNBC... Why would conservative politics have anything to do with this? If you read anything on the subject of the KKK or white supremacy groups, you'd know that they actually advocate Socialism. You'd also know that the Nazis were actually called the National Socialist Party before rebranding themselves and advocated a platform that is basically a checklist derived from the Communist Manifesto. The idea that racists are all conservatives is laughable at best. At worst it's pervasive and a way to generate fake hatred so that a segment of the populous can feel superior themselves, but you keep on with Ed Schultz and Rachel Maddow, I love seeing their programs dwindle as their hate speech skyrockets.
Ironic how the race card is leveled almost exclusively at conservatives, but the ones who view the world through a race lens and couldn't be faster to point out their opinion on racists are liberals, especially the academic elite who I had to hear say this crap for all 16 years of my educational career. Is it racist, a fact or both that 95% and 93% of blacks voted for Obama in the '08 and '12 elections respectively? I know it's a fact, don't think it's necessarily racist (given that many viewed it as a historical milestone), but lord knows it's a fact that if 95% of whites voted for McCain, it'd be called racist on every level by every democrat. The record was set in 2008 with 95%, so whoever wrote that is an idiot who can have stats in front of them and for some reason can't organize them in to lucid sentences. Goldwater opposed that legislation on libertarian grounds, and I won't hash out his argument, but how about you go through and take a look at who voted for the Civil Rights Act of 1964. You may be surprised to find Al Gore Sr., Strom Thurmond, Robert Byrd and a litany of other democrats on that list.
He's responsible for the content of what he wrote (the first post of the thread), not what others wrote, and that's all I care to judge him on. I don't consider anything he wrote in the first post to be "racist" or offensive, even if its in my opinion misguided. Its typical right-wing, Fox News, "darned liberal media and their double standard when it comes to black on white crime" stuff. Whatever. Half of America thinks this way. Calling someone a racist is a serious charge, and I'm not going to do so based on extrapolation. And, you're right, we shouldn't be discussing racism and what it means in the GARM, but when a bunch of people are calling another poster a racist (and that they're scum and should be banned, etc.) and I think its unfairly presumptuous, I feel compelled to say so in that person's defense. Sorry about that.
I understand the sentiment but as a black rockets fan when these Lin only s take their disappointment out on harden calling him lazy its offensive We are not stupid. Luckily I'm not stupid enough to give a damn. I just laugh I used to get worked up about dumb **** when I was young like athletes.
Harden is lazy as hell on defense. Anybody with a pair of eyes can see it, the temporary improvement in effort these last few games not withstanding. Why should race have anything to do with it? It shouldn't even be part of the discussion. Its as bad as when "LOFs" try to make Lin's lack of playing time a race issue.
