No they don't. Asik is somewhere around 8 and each of the Philly guys are somewhere around 6.

Asik + Canaan + brewer for Evans and hawes would work I'm pretty sure.
Obviously Philly wouldn't do that but making the numbers work wouldn't be too difficult

Ha. My bad. Musta been auto correct
One thing we have to worry about is if we give asik away to an eastern team and then have that team flip him in February to a western team like Dallas (who has an expiring in Marion and a couple decent young players like Larkin)

Only way were getting Turner with Hawes or Young is by including Jones or maybe Lin. Or some sort of third team involved.

dude he's pretty good....i would only be hesitant because i wouldn't want to sign him to a long expensive deal this offseason as that would kill any chance at love in 2015.

Yes, he used to be the primary ball handler whenever Jrue would rest and he plays that role now whenever MCW is out.

Young is a bad contract who is a throw in. The Sixers can't get anything for him other than another player on a similarly bad contract. They just want out of his deal. He is negative trade value considering most teams have good young players or all stars at the 4 putting up good numbers. Think of any NBA team and you will end up see why no team wants him.

Asik's contract alone would not be enough to match all 3 of them. I guess there would be another team involved who will give us a protected pick or a young player for one of Hawes or Turner. Think of the trade like this: Asik for 2 expiring contracts looking to get paid who teams would rather wait for and sign in FA rather than waste a pick to rent for half a season.

If you were an NBA team would you give up a pick for Evan Turner who is most likely going to get paid anywhere between $9 million to $13 million per season for 4-5 years? Because Turner is playing well in a contract year it hurts his trade value somewhat. Being restricted does not help. Any team willing to trade assets for him obviously wants to keep him. Also, what if all he cares about is collecting his paycheck? Hawes is in a similar situation. They need a team that will give up a late 1st rounder while absorbing one of their contracts.

I don't think the Sixers are tanking yet either. They are trying to make the playoffs while maximizing their assets. That's what Morey did and it's much easier to do in the East.

Rockets only have to be within 5mil of a trade....that is what BimaThug said.

I think Hinkie would have to be on something to give up both of them and a first rounder. That said -- I'd be willing to slip him that something, if the opportunity presented itself.

turner and hawes are gone next season, so they might as well get something for them...master morey will extract a 1st rounder as a bonus from his protege..;)

Young is not a "bad contract who is a throw in." He's a productive player who can contribute to many teams. He's a guy that can guard the 4 and the 3 and one of the best pick and roll defenders at the 4. If you were to ask Philly fans if they would trade Young for Asik straight up, most of them would say no. Even though they feel that Asik for Young would be a fair trade talent wise, they feel that the Sixers have no pressing need for a veteran center at this point.

Oh, and make no mistake, the Sixers are most definitely tanking this year.
