A lot of flip flopping, but it certainly sounds like he'll most likely be gone. http://espn.go.com/college-football...as-longhorns-coach-mack-brown-expected-resign
SI is reporting Saban is talking extension with Alabama. Who the **** knows. http://tracking.si.com/2013/12/10/alabama-nick-saban-contract-extension/

I have no vested interest in Texas' next coach. Just reporting what a reputable source is claiming. I don't know whether Saban stays or goes, but I do know that this is typical Jimmy Sexton (Saban's agent) stuff. I don't think it's a coincidence that the rumor about him being the next Texas coach and rumors about an Alabama extension have picked up at the same time. He's playing the two parties against each other to see how much money he can get out of both of them and then he'll let Saban decide. Remember how many different places Kevin Sumlin was linked to (Arizona State, Illinois come to mind) before he ultimately went to A&M back in 2011? That was Jimmy Sexton. He is also the guy that has also gotten extension for Jimbo Fisher, Gus Malzahn and others over the last couple of weeks.
He's been "in negotiation" for a while now. Old news. One side is going to get massively burned. That's all I know.

I asked the guy I talked to what the betting odds of Saban coming really are, and he said "100%". Fwiw.
to give you a sense of the potential Saban might have on the recruiting here is a tweet from an A&M commit

Top 10 guy. A&M commit RT @_IMakePlays11 Mack brown resign by the end of this week which mean Nick Saban is going to be UT's head coach!
— Geoff Ketchum (@gkketch) December 11, 2013
 kid sounds excited
No offense, but you're reading way too much into a tweet. You're reading "excited" into an exclamation point. It could be that he's excited that the SEC won't have Saban anymore. Or he just thinks it's big news. Or he's pissed that Texas is getting Saban. You're hearing what you want to hear.
