Then the Bucks would have 4 good defensive big men with no reliable range. I think it's probably the opposite, Morey would, Bucks wouldn't.
The only trade I am interested in is getting Melo here to form our Big 3. We have the assets. Make it work Morey! Asik, Lin, Parsons, DMo, Smith, 1st rounder for Melo Give them the kitchen sink too. Dwight, Melo, Harden with Beverley and TJones would destroy everybody.
I thought about andre miller bc of the fact that Denver has a number of draft considerations. but, I don't see miller contributing at a significant level for the rest of his career.
Would rather keep parsons then getting melo. Parsons average double figure in scoring, plays better defense, and hustle.
Same here , there is a very short list of players I move Parsons for .... and those players are all superstars that can carry a team. That's not to say Parsons is a superstar but that he is that important to this team as currently constructed. They are 15-5 (.750) with Parsons and 0-2 without.
Very true. We missed Lin and Harden less than we missed Parsons it seems like. Throw Asik in there too. And not just as a glue guy -- Parsons is looking like a poor man's Scottie Pippen so far this season (not quite as many rebounds or assists).
The team lost easily winnable games when Parsons was out, but keep in mind that Lin was also out too. He's able to compensate for the loss of either Harden or Parsons. Missing Lin or Harden is alright since either can carry the team when the other is out.
I just couldn't bring myself to understand why anyone would want melo on our team, we suck on D, we suck without Parsons to glue, we suck when Harden ISOs, on top of all these, u want melo....
I want melo for the simple fact that he seems to be the only player in the NBA that LeBron can't shut down
I've been looking into this some more and decided to look at what Philly could gain from being brought into this trade. charlotte owns Portland and Detroit's 2014 first round picks and Milwaukee has a whole bunch of second round picks. the rockets have their own 2014 first round pick along with NY second round pick, which could end up being valuable. so, my questions: is Asik going to Charlotte worth Portlands 2014 first round pick? if so could it go to Philly in exchange of them sending spencer hawes to the rockets? I think Spawes on (even on a one year rental) could make the current rockets serious title contenders. just think about a twin towers line up that actually works. Philly could also receive some second round picks from Milwaukee for Evan Turner. or the rockets could send an extra future first or second rounder to philly to make it worth it. Houston gets - Spencer Hawes, Ben Gordon, Bandon Knight Charlotte - Asik, Ilyasova Milwaukee - Lin, Evan Turner Philly - Dmo, Greg Smith, Portland 1st pick (via Charlotte), 2 future second round picks from Milwaukee, future second round pick from Houston (NY 2014 second round pick if needed)
Nobody can shut Melo down because he doesn't stop shooting, even when he's ice cold he'll still take 35 shots and lose the team the game...but he'll have 30 pts so who cares? Parsons is the glue for this team, he can score in so many ways and yet still make plays for the team, and unlike someone like Melo he can still contribute on rebs, passing and dfense when his shot isn't falling or he's playing off the ball.
POF? Just kidding but that's crazy. Melo is on another level than Parson's. I would trade anyone outside of Howard and Harden to get Melo.
