    Classic subtraction by addition move.

I wonder if there's a bottom dweller team out there with the balls to make a move for Michael Beasley

    Exactly.

And who did the Kings give up? Salmons is on his last legs, but he was their first choice at SF. Chuck hasn't been the same since his heart condition, and doesn't add much. Both have bad contracts, which the Kings just got rid of.
Vasquez is a defensive liability and seemed to have lost his shot. PPat would be hot one ganme, then lay an egg the four games after that. Then he'd suddenly grab 8 rebounds in a game, and go back to laying eggs.

So the new management at Sacramento cleaned away some bad contracts from the Maloof days, and got a player that at his worst can fill some seats and at his best understand that he has to play differently. I guess the Kings hope he'll embrace Sacramento like Chris Webber did. Also, Acy is a nice piece and Gray a big body to back up Cousins.

So the Kings gt back of bad salaries, got rid of some of the congestion of bad players at small forward, and paved the way for IT and Williams to show they are legitimate starters in the NBA.

At the cost of less than two seasons of Rudy Gay. Not great, not awful.

My only concern is how Gay and Counsins will coexist.

Only Hayes was signed beyond this year, so he was really the only bad contract they gave back for Gay's bad contract. Of course, they weren't going to have big salary cap space until 2015 anyway.

Of course, there is a chance Rudy would opt out (seems illogical, but could happen).

Extending Boogie to the max long-term, trading for Derrick Williams, Rudy Gay...

How the new Kings owner learnt to build championship rosters in 90 mins:

Or he could try to opt-in and just miss.

Yeah people forget that rudy was playing like an allstar prior to the injury and they don't realize that the shoulder injury he has really must have affected his shooting motion because he never has been a good shooter since then.

i know you like to block all of this out but yes rudy was playing like an allstar, all you got to do is google it.

i don't know why it is so hard.

    Weird, he wasn't an all-star.

I'm just not sure how you can say he has an improving 3-pt shot, and then say because of injury his shooting is screwed up.

First he was blind, now he's suffering from an injury from 2 years ago.

I think that what I was trying to say was that Rudy is obviously not the same player that he was pre-injury. You'd have to be blind not to see that.

He has been a terrible shooting since the injury.

But, in that previous post, I was trying to recognize the fact that he is trying to (and succeeding) at hitting a better percentage of 3 pointers, which is a key skill that he has been criticized for.

He's not shooting as well because he is taking too many long 2-point shots, and also struggling to finish at the rim.
