Ya come to think of it, how is carrie not fired yet? Yet she comes into meetings like she belongs and everything is normal. I understand Brody might of not done the mission to begin with had she not been there but now everything is his choice. This is the perfect time to get rid of her. As to someone saying Brody needs to die is completely opposite of what the show needs. He is the one piece that is carrying the show along with Saul. Carrie will probably have the baby and then die (if they decide to keep her that long (hopefully not) )
Her boss and personal mentor being the CIA Director probably helps her stay around. Favoritism in the workplace at it's best.
Ive caught up on the show. Since season 1 and 2 were ok. I was not really excited to watch this show every week, so I was going to wait until the final week. After watching 10 straight episodes since the weekend, I can see the difference between the different writers of each episode. This show can go from terrific to absolute crap from week to week. Carrie can go from enjoyable to full r****d from one episode to another. Bottom line, the writers and producers need to get on the same page. They are more bipolar than carries personality. A couple WTF observations: Please kill off the Brody family. They add absolutely NOTHING to the show. Baccarin is a terrible actress. Dana would probably be pretty decent, but they have written her as a complete emo r****d. And I don't understand how Dana has more screen time than Nick. I did not quite understand the operation blunder at the Iraq/Iran border. It seems like it was another forced time filler that added nothing to the story. I don't understand how they can cover up killing allied soldiers.
Brody was filming a movie, that is why he hasn't had much screen time this season. As for covering up killing Allied soldiers, simple. There was an Al Qaeda operation to smuggle a known terrorist into Iran. It was Al Qaeda ops on the ground who killed those Allied troops.
Yes, but she's very, very, very hot. Thankfully Baccarin was pregnant during filming of Season 3 so they didn't get too much of her character (so far?) I guess keeping her so front-and-center is simply a way to remind us about the "homeland" which involves the "home front"? But she doesn't add much to the show. Yet. She was probably filler because Baccarin and Lewis had other commitments that kept them off the show for long stretches. May I quote Bernice Mac? "S***********y****t." The U.S. government can cover up anything.
Yep. The more screen time for Saul the better the episode. Same for Dar. They should start shifting the show to be more focused on Saul and Dar and even less on Crazy Carrie. I know she's the "star" and unfortunately women watch the show for her and Brody's relationship.
How does anyone outside of the US forces know that they were fighting allied soldiers? As far as the Iraqi forces were concerned, they had no way to tell who they were fighting for sure.
This wasn't my favorite episode. Solid, but not as good as the last 3 or 4 episodes, in my opinion. Cool ending, though. Javadi has been a great addition.
Uh, this entire show is about Carrie. Have you not noticed the intro. She is the main actor. You don't kill off the main actor. Claire Danes is also the Producer of this Season...lols. You need to accept that fact and embrace it, or find another show. Because, watching it hoping Carrie gets killed off is silly. Besides, her character is based on a real person. A female intelligence agent was obsessed with tracking down Osama, and succeeded. Team Carrie!
Awesome episode tonight! The last few episodes have been solid. The first few were pathetic with the whole Dana soap opera.
