Well whether or not this is true, I can tell you right now that Morey will not give a first rounder AND Asik for Thad Young. Not a chance.

I hope the dude who wrote on their forum has simply been trapped in an elevator sniffing his own farts (as far as the first rounders go; Morey would only yield a first rounder if we got a player / players worth it).

Geez you and your DMO agenda - the guy rarely plays, yet you continue to bash his limited opportunities.

    Unreal.

I really hope they aren't pursuing Young. Hawes just seems like the player the Rockets need, an okay back up center with a respectable 3 point shot, good pick and roll player, and decent rebounding. Also a line up of Hawes and Dwight would give a real working version of twin towers for the Rockets. Hawes midrange jumper is decent as well. Rockets already have two serviceable power forwards in Jones and Casspi. Without Asik, Rockets wouldn't have a real back up center and Hawes already plays in a similar system.

oh im with you guys. I know morey wont either, its not his style. he is looking for assets not trying to trade them. that guy was just posting what he says is his inside sources on what hinkie wants. i dont know if this is true or if he is actually in the know. But it makes sense from a bargaining standpoint that hinkie would be hardballing(especially knowing morey so intimately) and asking for additional assets and trying to get the best deal possible. im positive morey aint giving up any picks unless its for a third star.

Question is why does Philly want Asik? Doesn't make sense. Asik doesn't want to be a backup and Hawes is going to be the starter. Unless they are planning to move him for other players....we should be careful. Asik could end up in Dallas or on another contending team.

    Hawes is trade bait.

The real question is why would Philly want Omer when they're trying to get as many ping pong balls as possible. You run Asik out there for 45 games and they're liable to win half of them or more.

I don't see it. I can see Philly being an ancillary partner in a trade....getting a player like DMo...but not Asik.

TJ is beasting. Why we need another so so PF? At TJ is young and will have lots of potential. We should just get a 1st round pick + a good bench player for Asik.

Perhaps he does. We shouldn't judge people you know. :)

Anyway, Amir Johnson has always been one of my targets. Because I think he can play backup center. Similar reasoning to wanting Taj Gibson. Not sure why Toronto would do that though.

Hawes is certainly involved. More envisions hates as a stretch four who can play with Dwight. Hawes is a fantastic post and top of the key passer. He can find the cutters like parsons or pass it out to the three point shooters out of the block or out on top of the key.

The Sixers probably see Noel as a long term project who can be moved along slowly with Asik helping him.

Giving up a first for Thad Young seems unreasonable and very un-Morey-like. If I had to guess, Asik/2nd for Young/Wroten seems like a deal that works.

There might be some homerism in me. But objectively speaking, Young is a good player but nothing special. He's not much better than Jones now. Asik, on the other hand, is a elite defender and rebounder. There just aren't that many you can find.
