That's unacceptable. How could we ever trust a quarterback who, despite playing like a confident badass on the field, is not great with the press. :p

It honestly sounds like an Onion article: "Houston Texans Refuse to Draft Bridgewater Due to Poor Interview Skills"

Your reality of him is wrong. Watch all the interviews of him. He is not loud and vocal but do not confuse that with shy. He is intelligent, will graduate in 3 years, and has a hig football IQ. He is without a doubt the leader of Louisville but he doesn't have to shout it out. He is humble. His coach had this to say about him. "He's one of those players who wants no credit"... "He'd rather sit back and let his work speak for him."

Your assessment of his character is way off. In fact I would go so far as to say his character may be better than his athletic ability. I don't want to bring race if it doesn't apply to you but one ridiculous stereotype that some put on black QB's is that they lack the maturity to go along with their talent. Teddy Bridgewater is without a doubt mature beyond his years period. His character and maturity is amazing for any kid who just turned 21.

I don't know where you are getting your info from, but you make little sense

I am not sold on bridgewater but what you are describing, is literally what the book on Teddy says. Not sure why you were rambling about speed earlier, he isn't a running qb, he ran for like 50 yards this year. Pocket presence is what he has

You'd make a terrible GM and/or talent evaluator based on this post.

If they hire Lovie Smith I can see him drafting Clowney and installing a 4-3 defense.

But I would rather see them trade out of the 1st pick to the 5th-7th pick and draft Barr or Mack and get more picks...

The only two real blue chip prospects are Clowney/Bridgewater....

More picks for Rick Smith to screw up? Because his track record suggest he's great after round 1?

pretty much this. in the NFL you should draft for need... UNLESS you have the #1 overall pick. Then you take the best player available and do what you can after that. Maybe Bridgewater is the next Andrew Luck - but no one is saying that. No scout, GM, analyst etc is saying he is a lock to be a phenomenal player. There's only one person in this draft they're saying that about. and if you get the chance, you draft that guy.

i'm sick of mediocre QB play as much as anyone and i'd love to turn this ship around in one off season like the Chiefs and the... ugh... Colts. But we shouldn't be so desperate as to pass up a "once in a generation player" (espn's words) just to have a pretty good QB.

Well I did a look up and he definitely is shy during interviews. Body language indicators point to shoulders slumping over and looking very meek. He also tends to stutter when nervous.

But I don't give a ****. He steps up in clutch situations on the field which is all that matters, and I don't think you'll find another college QB more dedicated and a student of the game than Bridgwater.

Remember he is a 20 year on sports center. I was very impressed when i first saw this. That kind of composure at 20 years of age is impressive.

Neither, one of the QBs will shoot up the draft after the bowl games and workouts and that's who we will pick... It's never who is hyped up all year or even at the end of the season. (except with Luck who was treated like he was Joe Montana before he ever threw a pass)

I remember at one point a few years ago Nick freaking Fairley was projected to go #1 over Cam Newton right after the National Title game. We won't know until draft day or the day before, I just hope it's not the Clown.

20 years old on Sports Center.. I couldn't care less if he looks good on camera or not, I want him to win ball games.

Luck is ugly as **** and sounds like he just came out of a cave, but he gets the job done.

Bookmark the post -- come back to this after a couple of years and let me know. But I see Geno Smith, RG3, Vince Young results coming from Bridgewater. Remember that performance in college (especially when playing a weak schedule) and scrambling success in college are horrible predictors of success in the NFL. Mental makeup, arm strength and accuracy -- those things matter.

You literally, once again, just described Bridgewater as your ideal quarterback. His greatest strengths come from his arm and pocket presence, and he hardly ever scrambles. I don't want to point out the race aspect, but it seems like your unfairly describing his as scambler due to his ethnicity. Bridgewater, also, is known by many as a true leader. He spent most of high school taking care of his mother who was sick with breast cancer, and he sacrificed a ton of his time to dedicate himself only to her. He has a mental makeup beyond his years, so I don't really understand your criticism.
