I don't think this trade is that horrible for the Kings. Yes, Gay has an awful contract but next season he could be a valuable expiring contract. And it's not like they gave up any super valuable pieces to get him. Giving up Vasquez allows Isaiah Thomas to start, who has been the 2nd best player on the team, and allows Ray McCallum to get backup PG minutes. They got rid of their PF logjam so now Derrick Williams can continue to develop and Jason Thompson can get minutes. Obviously a great trade for the Raptors. Got rid of Bargs and now Gay. Now they gotta be able to convince some big FA to go to Toronto... :/
Looking at Raptors and Kings boards, both sides are ecstatic at the deal. Kings fans are happy to get Gay for "nothing." Toronto fans are happy that Gay is no longer part of the team and got players that are not old.
What continues his streak of dominance. Good trade for both teams. Gay won't help the Kings a whole lot but at that price tag, who cares. Do think both teams perform better after this trade.
Yeah, garbage in, garbage out. Of course, if this was Kevin Durant, OKC might have been able to get an extra 2nd round pick from the Kings in a hypothetical trade. Gay probably isn't quite on that level yet, so just what was offered I guess.
You are confusing Sacramento with San Francisco. Anyway, I remember there was a time when "what" was a decent poster here. Rudy Gay ruined his brain somehow. To be fair, Gay ruined a few of pretty good posters here too.
rudy gay is about to show the world he's on Josh Smith's level. wow sacramento. i thought gay would be untradeable but... wow. Wonder if toronto mentioned the $19mil player option he has next year...
Damn you Toronto, I really needed Gay to play tonight, I was behind on rebounds/blocks/FG. Now I get lower FG once he's playing for the Kings. AHHhh
