The Josh Smith comparisons have been there since KU and they are the most apt.

And as far as the undersized talk, T Jones is 6'9.5" and has a 7'2" wing span. He's also big bodied and very athletic. The measurables say this guy is the prototypical 4. No more of that undersized talk please.

If you all remember, Jones was averaging a double double as an extremely raw freshman at Kentucky.

Jones sure looks like he can play the part, now he'll have to show he can do it consistently. There's still a lot a basketball to be played.

Under Dwight's tutelage, he's looking pretty good. Maybe even "A Lesser Howard"?

Do you think Morey is still looking for a superstar PF to replace Jones in the starting lineup ?

Howard looks like a lesser Jones !

Maybe Jones can teach him three throws and post up moves

Our only need is just an elite perimeter defender. Our defense has been excellent this season, but we need that one player to give Lebron/Durant fits

If we are losing Asik than back up center becomes a huge need.

I think Greg Smith will suffice.

We should try to get two above average bench players for Asik.

I agree. Dwight piles up those fouls, so we always need insurance. TJones has been filling nicely but we need another big body.

I was thinking we can trade with the Celtics and somehow get Brandon Bass and Courtney Lee.

He looks like a perfect fit and he is only 21 years old! I think he has a chance to develop into an All-Star caliber player.

As much as I like Tjones, he still is just not on Dwight's level defensively... blocks are not the final say-all.

He didn't last year. Morey made it clear he felt this way and doesn't want another season of Smith as back up center. We had pretty much the worst defense in the league last year when Asik wasn't on the court.

Jones is solid but is it the case he has a low ceiling? If the best he is is a Hickson type maybe Morey sells high on his youth, low contract, and possible growth. I guarantee as happy as we are with Jones, Morey is ecstatic!
