http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/10105384/toronto-raptors-sacramento-kings-agree-rudy-gay-trade The proposed deal involves seven players, with the Kings sending John Salmons, Greivis Vasquez, Patrick Patterson and Chuck Hayes to Toronto in exchange for Gay, Aaron Gray and Quincy Acy. It was required to be a large trade to accommodate Gay's salary, which is more than $17 million this season. SAC gets: John Salmons, Greivis Vasquez, Patrick Patterson, and Chuck Hayes TOR gets: Rudy Gay, Aaron Gray and Quincy Acy Toronto is trying to tank. Good deal for Toronto I think.
Guys, guys, guys... C'mon... 'what' obviously is more knowledgable than the reigning GM of the Year. Have some respect!
Both teams traded garbage for garbage. I can see it being a win for both teams. The Kings have no chance at attracting free agents so trading for quasi-stars like Rudy Gay is their only hope. Can't fault the Kings at all for this. The players they traded were useless to them and Toronto dumped Rudy Gay's contract a year early. Win-win for everyone involved.
Agree with everything you said. Another good move by Ujiri and I think Simmons mentioned prior to the season how teams with new owners try to make a splash trade to encourage the fans blah blah blah. The Kings owner just went all in w/his GM just to see his team get the 8th spot in the playoffs(if they can even get up to 8th next April).
They know he's a flawed player, but the Kings are 5-13, they have to try something. They didn't give up any 1st round draft picks, or anything of real value. Gay will be gone after next year anyway, so no big deal. This will at least give the fans something new to look at for a little while. Poor Kings fans.
I find it way more entertaining than when Ronny the Troll/Honeybear(whatevathe**** he is called) is being allowed to keep trolling on. "what" provides more greatness with his delusional statements. One doesn't even have to say much, just provide the rope and "what" will run with it lol.
Nope, not period. Lin and Howard were not pure analytic acquires. A guy like Asik was. Morey himself does not rely 100% on stats, from his own mouth. You just completely ignored the three links that were given to you about RC Buford and want to wallow around in your ignorance about the subject. Have fun doing that.
WHAT: Are you prepared to put your money where your (undeniably unintelligent) mouth is? Don't ignore me. Tip jar bet, $20: Sacramento will finish 12th or lower this year in the West. You can back out of the deal with if Rudy Gay misses more than 15 games. I can back out with a major acquisition by the Kings. What do you say?
I don`t know if the trade is so bad for Sacramento. True, Gay is way overpayed. But they didn`t really give much up for him. So now they get a great defender that can hit clutch shots. Gay shows glimpses of greatness every now and then, he just takes way too many hard shots because he thinks he is better, than he really is. But for a team like Sacramento that`s going nowehre either way, he might put up some highlights, hit some clutch shots and bring a little bit of excitement back.
You are either the most idiotic poster on clutchfans or you are just f'n with all of us. I don't think anyone can be this stupid so I prefer to believe the latter. Well played.
