What a boring night of fights sans Kirkland killing the kid. The only matches I want to see with Rigo is a fight vs Mares or Santa Cruz. Even then, he probably schools them.
boring fights, indeed. i'd like to see rigondaux vs darchinyan, it would be funny to watch these two.
Man, I was watching the HBO card on DVR later at night, and was yelling at the TV for them to stop the fight. Between the rounds and then during that last round. I'm really concerned for Tapia's well-being. That was a LOT of punishment. He just had no will or gas left. He had the heart, but man... I went from texting my bro, you gotta watch this fight to, this needs to be stopped soon...OK, stop it, OK, no really, stop this fight. I thought it was a great night of boxing. Mostly one-sided fights, so in that sense, yeah I guess boring.
We were saying the same thing. Especially when Tapia had his eyes closed in between rounds. When fighters start blinking that is normally a sign of a concussion and/or possible brain damage. There have been like 2 or 3 ring deaths over the past few years so one would think they'd be a little more cautious. I enjoyed the fights as well even though they were one sided
Who do yall want Floyd to fight next? Looks like its going to be Amir Khan. Not big on that choice but at the very least, it should be an entertaining fight. Floyd really doesn't have that many options left. Definitely not any fights as big as the Canelo fight. I guess a Broner fight could be big but they said they wouldn't fight each other. Would love to see Keith Thurman vs Mayweather. Maybe if he can string some quality ones together because as of right now, he's a nobody to the casual audience.
Danny Garcia and Broner would be my two choices if we just went with the two best options were. I'm not interested in the Khan fight either. Haymon would never put Thurman anywhere near Floyd. They are trying to build him into a star and he's nowhere near ready for that fight.
No way Floyd is going to fight Garcia. Khan is overrated but I won't be surprised if Floyd picks him, he's the easy one to beat with potential big PPV earnings.
I just want to see floyd get hit. and while kahn is the greatest fighter in the world he does have probably the fastest hands of anybody floyd will face. so, i am thinking that this fight could actually be a fight were kahn could upset fmj. if kahn can come in and start throwing deadly combos it could be bad for floyd who really would rather beat you on points rather than engaging you.
No way. If Khan beats Floyd, it would be the biggest upset in the history of all sports. Honestly, I don't think Khan has looked good since the Judah fight. He lost to Lamont Peterson, stopped by Gracia (he was winning before he got dropped), didnt look all that impressive vs Molina and went tooth and nail with Julio Diaz (who got stopped by baby bull Juan Diaz). I do agree he does have the fastest hands of anybody Floyd has faced recently. So maybe he has that going for him, but I don't know man. I really haven't seen anything from him lately that makes me think he has a chance. His fights are always entertaining so I will be watching.
He fought a dumb fight against Peterson but was robbed. Was whooping Garcia and got caught. Has never been the same since.

Now this would be something I would love to see...Expect Floyd to win, but man, the hype up to this bout would be amazing. Rooting for a May 3rd bout with Mayweather and Pacquiao...
holding my breath but i doubt it's ever going to happen but at this point in their careers i think mayweather will easily handle packquaio
