The 76ERS are not trading away a potentially a lotto pick to combine with MKG, Noel and co for Asik.Right now the Hawks or the Celtics make the most sense.
Yeah Michael Carter Williams who seems to a stud. They are building a very good core that can compete in the weak east.
Tell me again why the Jazz would make a run at Asik when they have Enis Kanter and Derrick Favors to man the 5? Unless you think they are giving up on those guys. Also if you think those are the only teams interested in Asik then you are just ignorant. Dallas for example salivates over the thought of adding Asik to that team. They just don't have the pieces to trade for him that they would be willing to trade.
Yeah, right, two players who originaly are PF's are perfect options longterm at center position (they are even not 7-footers). And I think these are the only teams who can give something AND are interested in Asik. Other teams may be interested, but OR have solid starting center and won't pay that much for back-up OR don't have any player to give away that Rocket will take. Just think straight guys. There may be one or two extra teams I didn't mentioned. But that's really all.
people still making that strong case for ERSAN... last night 2/6 30mins, 4points, 5reb, was on the bench down the stretch, $8,000,000 a year 2013-2017 did they move on, or is thaddeus young their new answer for the rockets ?
I think Philly has up to 9 million in cap space. They can absorb Asik and send no contract in return. Then they could turn around and trade Hawes for...whatever, and perhaps to one of the teams we won't deal with as far as Asik. Asik and NYKnicks 2014 second rounder (currently #32) for worst of the first rounders between Philly and NO? With other little protections if either pick falls in the etc etc range?
Noel is their future franchise center, and no way they are interested in Asik. Also Hawes is much better center than Asik.
He will be playing the 4 spot his first couple seasons in the league. Very similar physical attributes to Anthony Davis. Asik on the team his first two years in the league wily be preferred by most teams unless they want him to be injured non stop.
D12 is 6'9" and is a center. Neither Favors or Kanter have PF skills. And exactly who are the Jazz going to give us? They certainly are not going to give us a prime lottery pick.
