    1) What in the world does that have to do with basketball?
    2) Chandler has been dating the same girl for quite some time.
    3) Lin is rich, famous, and a target for every golddigger in sight. Maybe he doesn't want to be stupid.
    4) Absolutely none of my business in any case.

    a) No
    b) See 4) above.

He just says he is ok with it because to say anything different would just cause problems. Hopefully Mchale will wise up and put him back in the starting lineup where he belongs. He is by far the best pg on the Rockets, Beverley is good and I'm glad to have him but he really isn't close to Lin as far as talent goes.

Can we please stop screwing around with "injuries"? We lost two games in the past week that we'd probably have won with Lin. We need him back. Put a Band-Aid on the ego and get back on the floor.

    Earn the money.

Lmao bench highlights, really? Looks like Lin had more highlights on the bench than Harden. :(

OMG you gotta be kidding me?

Only a True Lin Only Fan would post a 3 min video of Jeremy Lin sitting on the bench.

Good to know this. At least I know if you are in a game thread you have no objectivity if and when you speak. Thank you!

I don't think so. He MIGHT be a starter for some teams, but not good teams. He isn't tough enough or a good enough defender to be a starting point guard in the NBA.

He has improved dramatically from last year because he has been able to play against inferior players off the bench . . . and IMHO that's what the NBA is all about: matchups.

If a player isn't more talented that his matchup, it's all about toughness and hustle, something that JLin isn't that great at. Moching him to the bench gives him the talent edge over his mathcup and allows him to play with finesse.

He averages more points as a starter this season. There is absolutely no evidence to your claims. He provides plenty of hustle. Were the Rockets not a "good" team last season? He was the starting pg of a western conference playoff team last season.

This the sort of remark that player will prefer to be a starter than coming off the bench. It's a no win situation coming off the bench. SMH

I am having trouble comprehending this. Lin might be a starter for some teams but not good teams and not in the NBA? Isn't Lin currently playing in the NBA and hadn't he started for the Rockets?

Why do you engage with idiotic comments and commentators? Rockets' fans who follow the team closely know what Lin can contribute. In order for one to be a successful NBA player you have to specialize or be elite in a skill set. Lin has two offensive skill sets he's pretty good at: 1) driving and slashing to the rim (according to SportsVu data, he's amongst TOP for PG), and 2) he's a very good PnR handler. (I also think drawing fouls is another skill that he is working to improve). Those skills alone would have him start for most teams in the NBA.

That said, seems like a lot of people are undervaluing the role of a sixth man. Lin has shown his production would be fine starting or coming of the bench, but in terms of maximizing the talents of our roster (and managing the overlapping skills of Harden & Lin) coming off the bench is where we need him the most.

It's possible Lin will end up back in the starting line-up. I really think he's Dwight's preferred starting guard. What's most important is Lin plays significant minutes in the 4th in tight games and is able to be his clutch self even if he makes a few mistakes in some games.

this is a example of the guys I spoke about before about the "toughness & hustle" weak argument, if you watched all the rockets games this year and last you would know that Lin is the rockets 2nd best player at that right behind bev & it's still close.

-Lin has been PROVEN to get hit, shed blood, knots, get stitches plenty of times and goes right back in the game " more importantly when it happens he never falls on the ground "flops give up on the play" looking for a call" like some rockets players have shown to do plenty of times.

if you don't like Lin that's cool but as a rockets fan You should still show respect for the effort that he has shown, instead of reaching with this BS argument

Repped. These fanboys just don't get it. My advanced statistical models prove that Lin would only be averaging around 9 points and 3 assists per game if he were starting. That just does not cut it as a starter...especially on a "good" team.

Any improvement in Lin's game this year can only be attributed to coming off the bench. Fanboys need to stop trolling.

    I am curious.

You have your own "advanced statistical models"? Are you working for the Rockets front office or any sort of NBA-related business?

And even 3pt shooting improvement has something to do with coming off the bench? I need to put you on my Ignore List.
